Video shows flock of birds careening into the ground

I watched a video on vidmax that showed a flock of birds that just flew right into the ground. It didn't say what species the birds were but they appeared to be small black birds like a starling. The way the birds slammed into the ground reminded me of starling murmuration.

More about that here:

Ever since the mass crash, on Feb. 7, viewers of the viral video have sought to explain what happened. Suggestions from scientists and anyone with a Twitter account have included: the birds were reacting to a predator, inhaled toxic fumes, were zapped by a power line, or became victims of electromagnetic interference. Some sleuths have floated 5G technology as the culprit.

Harvard ornithologist Scott V. Edwards, Alexander Agassiz Professor of Organismal and Evolutionary Biology, and Flavia Termignoni Garcia, a postdoctoral researcher from his lab who studies bird behavior, believe the truth lies in flock dynamics.

They are just too many flying together, the ones in the back cant see anything and have no idea where they are flying into.

The Thunderbirds of the U.S. airforce did something similar a couple of decades ago. :(  They were somehow inverted over the field and when the lead pilot "pulled up", all the rest followed him and they died in a fiery crash.

Germany lost 13 Stuka's in a bombing demonstration in 1939 due to playing follow the leader.

Glad to see the title is saying they are  " crashing into the ground". last month it was " falling out of the sky". One bird goes, they all follow.

its a weird event sure, but there's been plenty of weird events through out history. the fact is this will probably will remain unexplained for the simple reason there isn't enough data.

It's what happens sometimes when creatures don't look around and instead just follow their leader.

That's the perfect example of what nations do, following a bad leader.

Birds usually land at an angle. But these birds came straight down as if a downward  wind blew them.
