No...it isn't guns.  My guns have never killed anyone.  Most people's guns have never killed anyone.  YOU are missing the point.  The point is that there are bad people in the world...but instead of hanging them...we coddled them...now it's out of control.

I know, guns don't kill. People do. It's bull****. Why do civilised countries ban guns? Because guns kill. If you are a hunter, fair enough (though I don't really agree with killing sentient animals for sport, taking an animal's life seems a weird and sick pleasure to me). If you like guns, join the National Guard and fire real weapons. At least you are serving your country.

There really isn't much sport killing that takes place in the US.  Without hunting, we'd be overrun with deer.  Even with the hunting season, deer pose a real danger in Pennsylvania, especially during breeding season...

Why is everybody down on the US for its gun murder rate?  Afghanistan and even El Salvador have higher gun murder rates than the US.   You don't hear people criticizing living conditions in those countries do you?  Oh, you do?  Nevermind.

Now you are just being a troll or pretending like you are stupid.  Children are legally not allowed to buy guns.

Nor access porn. Or buy drugs, Sorted, then.

The death rate through guns and weapons is far higher in Ukraine than the US. Relax, the US is doing fine.

It certainly is. I just heard this kid had a handgun too, which in PA is illegal for anyone under 21.

This whole issue is so politicized that everything turns into the same old arguments that go nowhere. My thing is, why is this story, like so many others, kids shooting kids? Or kids shooting anyone? It's the same story in Philadelphia's murder rate. Why?

It’s the same in Texas, 21 to own a hand gun, So, this jerk wasn’t supposed to have a handgun.

A lot of hunters have their kills processed for food. I've had bologna and sausage you would never believe was venison.

We always have elk meat in the freezer and usually between all the hunters in the family we only get one a year.

NPR says the suspect was shot by police. Biden is scheduled to speak at 8:15 tonight. Flags are ordered to half staff.

I wonder why Biden didn't order flags at half staff when the White grannies and children were run over and killed by a black in Waukesha, WI?

This is so true!  Both this morning and yesterday morning I saw dead Boar Hogs in the middle of the road where they had been hit by a vehicle.  Both I and my daughter have hit deer on the Interstate.  Everyone thinks kittens are sweet...and they are...everyone thinks Bambi is sweet and she/he is...but when Bambi becomes an adult she/he can be incredibly violent.

I'd say a vast majority of them do.   Deer meat is not wasted.

I'm not anti-hunting or eating meat. I'm not anti-guns either- as I said I like guns. I'm anti killing for the 'pleasure' (if you can call it that) of killing, and the freedom of gun ownership. If you want to play with weapons, join the National Guard (like they do in Switzerland) or the TA in the UK, and you can have fun firing cutting edge weapons. You don't have to shoot your neighbour.

Most hunters I know share their meat with family and friends. If you aren't going to use the meat, give it to a soup kitchen or a food bank. I knew a family that had 13 kids and venison was a large part of their winter diet.

That's a big part of the point that everyone is missing SS. It's not the hunters or even the gun collectors that are doing this. Mental illness or a violent, hateful personality plays a role in most of these shootings.

But we like shooting our neighbors and their dogs and cats!

Okay here is my latest true gun story...it's been awhile...last spring...

Racoons slaughtered my chickens...killed all but one...so...I put out a trap.  I knew it was Racoons because one of the chickens had it's head bitten off.  But racoons don't eat the chickens, they kill them for fun.  Ah...but Feral cats will kill and eat the chickens... I didn't know what to put it in the trap so I baited it with  Tuna...

First night I caught a large yellow feral  cat...mean as a caged feral could possibly be.  So I eliminated him.  The next night...I caught another cat...I walked up to the cage and the cat wasn't pacing...it was just laying there saying, Meow...meow...meow.  I said, I know who you belong to...but I better not ever see  you in this cage again...understand?!  The cat said, Meow...and I opened the door and off it ran.  Then I watched a video on what Racoons like to eat.  One whole egg, one marshmellow and some foil.  who knew?...In the morning I eliminated a racoon and the very next morning I eliminated it's mate.  Haven't seen a racoon since.

The point of the story is that guns have a purpose and their purpose is not for entertainment.  Their purpose is for killing.  We kill things with guns.  But we do so responsibly...not because we think it's fun to kill things.  One deer can fill  your freezer.  Priced steak lately?  right!

But it is the freedom to buy guns over the counter. Civilized countries don't allow this. Why would anyone want a handgun to kill, unless they wanted a handgun to kill? It is a US illogical block. Come to Europe with "concealed carry" (even if you could) and you would be jailed. Why would someone carry a lethal weapon if they were not mentally ill themselves?

What is with Biden and flags at half mast.  F biden...I am not flying my flags at half mast...it's memorial day (well Memorial Week)...I'm flying my flags at full mast and biden can kiss my Uzi.

He just ordered the flags at half mast a week or so ago because some fictitious number was reached from people dying from covid.

Sorry susiece!  Had to rant there for a minute!  Done!

CNN just reported that the death toll has risen. It's now 18 children and 3 adults. The suspect's grandmother is still alive and hanging on.

Excellent point, and truthful. American patriot Kyle Rittenhouse had a purpose, and that was to exercise his second amendment right and defend himself from being killed by dangerous attackers.
