The long-awaited Sue Gray report investigating Downing Street's Covid breaches during the height of the pandemic includes a series of images from the prime minister's birthday party.

Published in full on Tuesday, the report reveals highly damaging details of the party culture in Number 10 and Westminster and includes conversations exchanged on WhatsApp and email organising various events.

Nine images were attached to the report, with several showing Boris Johnson, Rishi Sunak and Cabinet Secretary Simon Case at the PM's birthday celebration.

Included in the report are images ITV News exclusively revealed on Monday showing the prime minister raising a glass at a leaving party with several bottles of alcohol and party food on the table in front of him.

The 60-page report says the public will be "dismayed" by a series of Covid-breaching gatherings attended by "leaders in government", with Ms Gray condemning the wider culture that was allowed to develop under Mr Johnson's leadership.

Boris Johnson has suffered the first resignation of a frontbencher since the publication of Sue Gray’s damning report into Partygate with the departure of Paul Holmes as a ministerial aide to the home secretary.

In a statement to his Eastleigh constituents, Holmes said his work as an MP had been “tarnished by the toxic culture that seemed to have permeated Number 10”.

“Over the last few weeks this distress has led me to conclude that I want to continue to focus solely on my efforts in being your member of parliament and the campaigns that are important to you,” he said.

Tory rebellion grows as more call on PM to quit after Sue Gray report

Another Tory MP has called on Boris Johnson to quit after reading the highly-damning Sue Gray report.

Sir Bob Neill, who chairs the Commons Justice Committee, added his name to a slowly-growing list of Tories urging Mr Johnson to quit on Friday.

“Trust is the most important commodity in politics, but these events have undermined trust in not just the office of the prime minister, but in the political process itself. To rebuild that trust and move on, a change in leadership is required,” he said

Stephen Hammond has also sent in a letter, saying in a statement he "cannot and will not defend the indefensible", adding he does not believe his party can regain public trust with Mr Johnson in charge.

Partygate: Drip feed of no confidence letters in PM as pressure grows after Sue Gray report

A growing number of Conservative MPs are voicing their failure to support the prime minister as he continues to insist he did no wrong by attending parties in Downing Street during lockdown.

The only person who knows how many MPs have submitted a letter is Sir Graham, chair of the 1922 Committee of backbench Tory MPs. It takes 54 letters to trigger a no-confidence vote in the PM.

As of Saturday afternoon, Sky News has counted 24 MPs - including Sir Bob - publicly calling for Mr Johnson to quit immediately since the Met Police fined the PM in mid-April. Not all have revealed if they have sent a letter to Sir Graham.

Simon Case, the cabinet secretary, has been told of previously unseen messages suggesting that Carrie Johnson held a law-breaking gathering in the No 10 flat.

The head of the civil service has been sent a letter indicating that there was another event in the Downing Street flat that has not been made public.

The disclosure, just days after the publication of the Sue Gray report, threatens to reignite the partygate scandal. Boris Johnson has spent much of the past week trying to draw a line under it and shore up his leadership with an extensive economic package.

Actually, it's a non-story that only the left and Boris's enemies care about, a weapon being exploited to try to bring the government down with the BBC as cheerleader...... and with a blindingly obvious agenda.

It may have gone unnoticed but Keir and the ginger one have now been issued with a questionnaire by police. 

When this happened to Boris Keir and the ginger one said he should resign.

As of today Keir and the ginger one are still in post. 

No questions from the media as to why they are still there.
