Things were different back in the 60s, there was all kinds of stuff allowed including TV sitcoms that wouldn't dare get aired today. It is true that I certainly don't suspect the Blackpool designers had insulting intentions but I can't read their minds. I got involved here just to make the general point that to get along as a mixed society we all need some thickness in our skin and no over-eagerness to complain.
