Creature washed up on beach compared to Stranger Things shadow monster

Stunned beachgoers have come across a creature with an alien-like appearance like nothing they had ever seen before.

The critter was found at high tide on Bennar beach near Dyffryn Ardudwy, in Gwynedd, by regular visitor Shell Longmore.

When she posted on Facebook to find out what it was, she was inundated with suggestions on the creature's identity - with its appearance striking a particular chord with fans of Stranger Things.

Many people compared it with the Shadow Monster - also known as the Mind Flayer - a giant, spider-like beast from the mega-hit Netflix series.

It was gathering barnacles. The creature itself looks edible

This creature reminds me of Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2 movie

Just hang light strands up all over your house, you will be safe.

Get serious, its barnacles. Never seen them before?

Just ponder how big the oceans are and how much stuff is in them, both alive and not. Yet everything that washes up on the  shore is aliens.

I don't know if I'd pay hundreds of dollars to eat that.
