Study shows artificial intelligence quickly becomes bigoted after learning 'toxic stereotypes' on the internet

Think about it, if you just came here from another planet and had no idea about mankind then studied man, modern mans history, learned about individual races, their successes, their failures, their technological advancements, their contributions to the betterment mankind etc... You learned about the family structure, pecking orders, procreation, the most functional and successful type of family units and why.

Then "gravitating toward men over women and white people over people of color" would not be biased nor bigoted it would simply be drawing logical conclusions based solely on fact instead of nurtured feelings, would it not?

I don't think you have thought this through.   Who was giving the AI  the websites it used that cuased this?   What you say is contradictory.   You are coming from a pre-existing bias if you think men and "white" people have accomplished more or better than any other pigment or culture or women on the planet.   Think about it yourself.  If you actually studied the individual cultures (Cultures, not races) and civilizations, their failures and technological advancements, you would find the pale europeans way behind a lot of other cultures and older civilizations.

Quite the opposite, for example I remember a college professor giving a lecture on the monumental impact White Western civilization has had throughout the entire world. To demonstrate how dramatic this impact was he said that if you were to go back to just 1899 and put a bubble over western civilization (Europe America, Canada) so no knowledge accrued or technology created within could ever escape to the the rest of world that Western Civilization today would look the same, there would be some changes, some subtle and some no so,  but it would look primarily the same, there would be  planes, trains, automobiles, high rises, electricity and plumbing in every home, phones, computers, the internet, etc... However the rest of the world would look closer to what it did 1000 years ago that what it does today.

I would say AI weighing the facts on paper so to speak, unaffected by feelings, emotions, indoctrination, or being bombarded with pysops in the news, commercials, TV shows, movies etc... on a daily basis has simply come to the same conclusions.

Sounds like you need a better education.   "A professor" is a  human and has all the frailties of a human, including buying the propoganda sold by the society he or she lives in.   If a chinese person programmed the AI it might have a totally different criteria for it's bias.    And AI is not sentient yet so the programmer has control over the information it learns from.   How old are you?

Makes me wonder what "Socio" is short for?  There are several possibilities.
