At page 2 (I think) I posted a link with all the biblical contradictions. In either this thread or another I posted a chart showing the evolution of religion. Yourself and others have had to repeatedly explain how the god of Judaism came to be. All that effort for nothing. At least the random who might be reading this may learn something.

I’m not sure they won’t as much as they can’t, otherwise doing so would upend their whole reason for believing.

Like the horse you have been led to the information that contradicts your claims Larry. Like the horse who decides to not drink the water, you have chosen to live in ignorance and that is sad to me. And by bettering my understanding of the world perhaps I will better someone else’s life by filling in that informational blank they had. Everlasting life of being a slave to a god or eternal punishment for not believing in them isn’t required, needed, or even probable.

Assuming you misspoke:

1)  the Hebrews date Creation to 3760/3761 BC so if the Sumerians date to 4000 BC how did they exist BEFORE Creation? 
 

2)  the Sumerians were a NON-Semitic people so how is that possible if Hebrews are Semitic? 
 

3)  genetics tends to suggest the Sumerians belonged to Haplogroup J1-M267 which originated in the southern Turkey/northeastern Syria/northern Iran region whereas the earliest Hebrews were of Canaanite origin, the Canaanites themselves being J2.

Hell is not a Hebrew word.  The Hebrew word for hell found in the Dead Sea Scrolls is Sheol, which can be translated as the grave.

@larryp  if you think the catholic church teaches a different christianity than the one you believe you are ignorant of where your beliefs came from.   Do you think your version of christianity existed 2000 years ago?  No it did not, and the romans, who created it did not do that until about 1400 years ago, not 2000, and they had only one church until Martin Luther protested the corruption of his pope and got ex communicated taking a lot of followers with him, then there was King Henry 8 who created the church of England so that he could divorce a wife and then there were other famous people who took their catholic or lutheran or english version of the Roman catholic chrisitianity and changed the things they didn't like about it.   And the judaic religions have been splitting like that since long before the romans created their version.
