My son bought $3,600.00 worth of gaming computer parts and me and him built it in 3 nights after work. I can’t remember all the parts but he had a buddy design it and tell him what parts to buy. It’s got all the bells and whistles in it. I couldn’t believe how big and heavy the graphics card was. It alone has two fans, a thermal cooler and led lights with multiple outputs. The 2T hard drive was nothing like I’ve ever seen it was no bigger than a stick of chewing gum. And his processor is liquid cooled with another radiator with fans and led lights. He is learning to mod games. The hardest part was running the wires making it look nice because one whole side of his tower is glass. We had to buy cable extensions for a few things but it’s up and running.

You don`t need to spend anywhere near that amount to build a gaming system that can max everything out for a few years.

Your son has gone overkill, especially if he brought the parts himself as it would be like paying $5000 from a store.
