The days are indeed getting shorter.

Earth had its shortest day ever recorded on June 29, with the day ending 1.59 milliseconds sooner than usual, according to the National Physical Laboratory in England.

Earth's rotation on its axis determines our daily cycle of sunrise and sunset. Each rotation takes 24 hours, or 86,400 seconds.

I bet it's all the bent spoons Uri's made over the years... they're causing drag on the spin of the earth about its axis.

Earth rotates once in about 24 hours with respect to the Sun, but once every 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds with respect to other distant stars (see below). Earth's rotation is  (was)  slowing slightly with time; thus, a day was shorter in the past. This is due to the tidal effects the Moon has on Earth's rotation. Atomic clocks show that a modern-day is longer by about 1.7 milliseconds than a century ago,^[1] slowly increasing the rate at which UTC is adjusted by leap seconds. Analysis of historical astronomical records shows a slowing trend; the length of a day increased about 2.3 milliseconds per century since the 8th century BCE.^[2]    Scientists reported that in 2020 Earth has started spinning faster, after consistently spinning slower than 86,400 seconds per day in the decades before. Because of that, engineers worldwide are discussing a 'negative leap second' and other possible timekeeping measures.^[3]

My theory:

It is because of covid-19. People were locked in their houses for a quite long period of a time. As a consequence, a pollution of the nature has decreased. Due to reduced carbon-dioxide pollution in that period, Earth's axis was also cleaned. As a result, the day got longer.

I've been watching the YouTuber suspicious observers. He has linked the changes in the earths rotation to CERN. And it does appear that everytime its powered up, the rotation of the earth changes slightly, returning to normal when CERN is turned off again.

Wouldn't digging underground bases have this effect? A hollow bunker underground and all the earth from insde dumped on the surface? And then it would speed up the rotation a bit as stuff is transported down into the bunker for construction?
