I'm sick of these idiots (Iran) I say if they want a nuke program let them have it. But then let the United States of America show them our pride and joy in the area. grin2.gif This will never happen but its my thought... at least if the USA invades Iran we have more proof now then we did on Iraq. tongue.gif

im sorry babs, but get who?

Irag did not cause ground zero i thought that was Al quaida?

Iraq was attacked because they had so called 'weapons of mass destruction'

and US is wrong for trying to make Iran get rid of their nuclear program while the US has it as well.

if they want to preach to others they first have to change themselves, what? Is the US the only country that is allowed to have nukes?

I stand on Iran side on this one, who is the US to say who can and cannot have nuclear constructions?

"I'm sorry Babs, but get who?"

......the terrorists, sultan. All these guys are connected cool.gif ....do you live in a vacuum, where have you been? The incidents are not separate and the terrorists work together.

......*Bulletin*....this is my opinion.

My husband just came from ground zero, 911...There were thousands of people there, crying into a big hole in the earth.  He was in tears, too. He called me on the phone and said that 'he wants to get them even more, now!'

That's why we are in this fight and that's why we have the right to stop others from getting WMD....

I think N. Korea is rattling the sabre.

Iran is talking big, they know we are busy right now... and I think they have lost their marbles.  Iran seems to be going the same direction as Iraq

again get who?

whos them ?

Cause i know your who your talking about.

Blind rage is just another name for ignorance.

Atatcking Iraq has had no bearing on the people who caused 9/11.

Attacking Iran would have no bearing on the people who casued 9/11.

these wars are nowt to do with 9/11.

People who think they can get away with crud like what happened on 9/11, I think that's who. And yes, attacking Iraq, who was harboring the wounded combatants from Afghanistan, now confirmed by the New York Times had equipment that can be used in manufacture of WMD (turns out "Bush did not lie"), and gave confidence to those who will do more attacks against us as well as financial backing to those who openly say they want to kill us all laughing at our resolutions and snubbing his nose because he had France/Germany et al in his back pocket thinking they'd keep him safe with their constant veto... it's all related.

(turns out "Bush did not lie")

I thought Bush's main point was that Iraq HAD WMDs... not just equipment to manufacture them...?

You like your goverment?

I do. Thats why I joined the CF...

You like bush?

Not all the time. I dont generalise all his actions and call him good or bad, I look at each of his actions individually and then decide whether I like that or not.

considering the fact that the people who crashed airplanes into the WTC died...then who is there to get? they did not use WMDs, they used airplanes. maybe we should rid the world of airplane harboring countries and rich supporters of airlines because they absolutely have to be in on this world wide conspiracy right??? 911 just allowed our government to go after countries with hoaxy evidence. hell, even bush changed his reasoning several times until something finally fit.

we can all say the government pulled one over on us, just like it always does.

Wow!...Celumnaz...I totally agree. thumbsup.gif ...it's all related. And those who do not wish to see, have their heads buried in the white sands of Dover. grin2.gif

We want to get the terrorists wherever they may be.

I am me...I know this is going to be a shock for you, but airplanes didn't run themselves into buildings.

That was off the top of my head, thank you for correcting me, gollum. laugh.gif I really wanted to say something not so nice blush.gif but thought better of it.

Iraq and the other countries in the axis of evil all have to do with 911. ph34r.gif

How many times do I have to keep saying this?...let me know when it sinks in. tongue.gif

It does'nt matter how many times you say it Babs. Your version of history wont sway me.

I know the facts and the facts are Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and Iran had nothing to do with 9/11. Fact.

yup.

and babs...i was being sarcastic if you didn't pick up on it. but the fact is, yes it takes somebody or something to run an airplane into a building. it also takes someone or something to set off a WMD. so what is your point?

i was just saying...we go into iraq for WMDs, but we were attacked by large airplanes. why not go after countries for having airplanes instead?

yes it sounds absurd, but this entire deal in the middle east is absurd.

No one's trying to sway a big boy like you.

You know, I was just thinking, why would it be any skin off your nose if Americans thought this way?...You know, 911, being behind our moves in these countries. And it came to me geek.gif

"You would have to fight."

You and europe would have to fight the terrorists. You couldn't lay back and make everything a separate issue. geek.gif Making everthing a separate issue and not related enables you to sit back and not fight. Or at least it would slow down the fight against terrorism and you wouldn't have to participate.

well... we were blamed over here for not being able to connect the dots... now when we are the rest (who didn't connect dots either) are saying there's no connection.

the connections are there, they're widespread and global

or... we're perfectly safe and there are no militant terrorists out to get us for the past 30+ years or so from different locations around the world...

saying no WMD's is childish and nieve, as is ignoring the rest of the reasons given. It's just like the "I can prove you're not here. Are you in the middle of the ocean? are you on top of mount everest? If you're not in the middle of the ocean and you're not on top of everest you must be someplace else. If you're someplace else you're not here."

Attacking Iraq was probably one of the best moves that could have been made against the ideology of hate and fear in that region. Saddam was a bastion of anti-american bravado. He was a hero to these murderers because he had the UN in his back pocket and was able to grandstand without repurcussion. It was long overdue and nobody had the huevos to do it... even our own bleeding hearts and socialists and liberals... and that's why I think Bush did know it was going to happen but that's another topic alltogether...

either way, i won't fight. if anyone is trying to invade my home and kill me, yes i will fight. until then, no way.

um, i don't want to participate. terrorists are no harm to me, my friends, or family. why would i want to participate? because for some weird reason i hate all terrorists? i don't care what they do as long as they don't harm me and those who are close to me. was i mad that 911 happened? yes i was. do i feel like those involved should be brought to justice? yes i do. but invading all of these countries and collecting so called terrorists is rediculous. find out who was directly involved, and bring them to justice. don't spend all of this effort in taking over iraq and toppling afghanistan.

fighting terrorism only creates more terrorists to fight. fox news suprisingly ran an article showing that support for bin laden in the middle east increased after we took over afghanistan and also iraq.

it seems to me that the problem is big government and its motives.

Off the top of your head Babs, do you know how many European countries are currently fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan?

And again for the 1000th time, we in Europe have been fighting terrorism for decades Babs. Unlike America, where it seems to be a whole new phenomenom.

Why do I care what Americans think? Because Babs, and I know you will love to hear this, they happen to be a very powerful nation who have a lot of say around the world, and what affect America affects me.

gollum...you talk like you want to halt the process. (war on terror) I understand that you all didn't have a 911, but surely you can see where all this will lead. To your front door.

I certainly don't disagree with you on any of your points but to continually use 9/11 as an excuse to rid the world of evil is in it's self evil.

The reasons for going into Iraq was a lie. Fact.

If they had told us "we are invading Iraq to rid the world of that evil b****** Saddam" then OK so be it. But don't lie to me because that just makes me distrust you.

I'm sure we have all heard the story of the boy who cried wolf.

I'm all for getting rid of terrorism worldwide. But don't lie to me. It's that simple. Tell me the truth and I'll back you 100%. Lie to me and I'll never trust you again.

No, I want to take care of myself and my friends and family. I don't want the government to do it. I don't want to pay the government to take care of others either.

That is not selfish one bit. I demand nothing and I expect nothing.

If you want to help those who you think need it...go help them. Don't demand government to do it for you at the expense of everyone.

That is how government works. It does something at the expense of someone else by use of force. This is not a good way to achieve something.
