Nord Stream Gas pipeline "deliberately sabotaged"

How America Took Out The Nord Stream Pipeline

The New York Times called it a “mystery,” but the United States executed a covert sea operation that was kept secret—until now

https://seymourhersh.substack.com/p/how-america-took-out-the-nord-stream

From the blog post:

Last June, the Navy divers, operating under the cover of a widely publicized mid-summer NATO exercise known as BALTOPS 22, planted the remotely triggered explosives that, three months later, destroyed three of the four Nord Stream pipelines, according to a source with direct knowledge of the operational planning.

Two of the pipelines, which were known collectively as Nord Stream 1, had been providing Germany and much of Western Europe with cheap Russian natural gas for more than a decade. A second pair of pipelines, called Nord Stream 2, had been built but were not yet operational. Now, with Russian troops massing on the Ukrainian border and the bloodiest war in Europe since 1945 looming, President Joseph Biden saw the pipelines as a vehicle for Vladimir Putin to weaponize natural gas for his political and territorial ambitions.

Asked for comment, Adrienne Watson, a White House spokesperson, said in an email, “This is false and complete fiction.” Tammy Thorp, a spokesperson for the Central Intelligence Agency, similarly wrote: “This claim is completely and utterly false.”

Biden’s decision to sabotage the pipelines came after more than nine months of highly secret back and forth debate inside Washington’s national security community about how to best achieve that goal. For much of that time, the issue was not whether to do the mission, but how to get it done with no overt clue as to who was responsible.

This is all based on an anonymous, uncorroborated source, bereft of any factual evidence. Hersh's cognitive abilities show a deep decline from advanced old age.

Not sure if anyone read the blog by Hersh on his claim that America was behind the nord stream pipeline but it is insane.  Needs to be pointed out everything he said comes from a single anonymous source.

To summarize it he is claiming that America wanted to destroy the Nord Stream pipeline so decides to contact Norwegian government and get their help in destroying the pipeline.  After some time Norway tells America of an ideal location to plant the explosives and America decides the best time to do this is during a massive naval exercise in the area that will have multiple nations involved in the exercise along with Russia watching.  Not wanting to detonate the explosives too soon and wanting the option of not detonating the explosives America requires that these explosives be set up so they will only detonate after receiving a specific sonar signal and then proceeds to leave the explosives on the pipeline for over 3 months, at which these explosives could of been found at any time.  When America decides to have the pipeline blown up they get Norway to fly a P-8 Poseidon over the area and drop the sonar buoy that will trigger the explosives.

On top of the insane story there are just parts that make no sense or are just wrong scientifically, specifically about acoustic signature and trying to hide them along with how the detonation was set off.  Essentially he says that America and Norway create this long and complex low frequency sonar trigger to set off the explosive cause they are concerned over ambient noise in the ocean accidentally setting it off prematurely.  First ambient noise in the ocean is stupidly easy to filter out from a receiver and secondly low frequencies travel insanely further than high frequencies in water so since the sonar buoy was dropped almost on top of the location a high frequency signal with a relatively short detection range instead of a long complex low frequency signal that could be picked up extremely far away would make far more sense.

So what you're saying is it can be done they just didn't do it the way he said they did it.

The U.S. didn't do it.

How wild and baseless claims that Biden blew up the Nord Stream pipelines moved seamlessly between Tucker Carlson and the Kremlin (yahoo.com)

There are near infinite ways anything can be done if one wants to get technical.

It is possible America blew up the pipeline, just as equally possible it was the Canadians, or the Germans, or the Brazilians, or FIFA, or Greenpeace, or just about any other nation or group.

What I'm saying is Hersh is 85 years old and is now posting stuff that is dubious at absolute best and that has problems with physical reality and logic.

I haven't read the thread yet, the title caught my attention.  Does someone not understand that the word sabotage implies deliberate?

Add to that the fact that there is no documentation.  Hersh has done some great work in his day.  He has been a fantastic journalist.  This may not be his best work.  One cannot depend on his reputation without documentation.

He could be right or he could be wrong.  If he is right, some sort of corroboration will likely appear either from a whistleblower or carelessness.

What Biden or any sitting president says either way is inconsequential. Their job is to advance US interests (America First) not undercut US foreign policy or the military  by action or statement.

Seymour Hersh interview clip on Democracy Now

This appearance does more to make me trust the report than anything else.  Hersh has made a career of writing tectonic exposes using anonymous sources.  My Lai and Abu Ghraib proved true and I have no doubt this one will, also.  This is America committing an act of war against Russia but also against the EU.  OF COURSE all hands will be on deck using their stable of presstitutes to deny they did this.  What amazes me is Hersh was willing to gut a Democrat administration this time.  He'll be lucky not to wind up in a Gulag like the DC jail...

Once again the CNN normies are scratching their heads trying to work out how the "crazy conspiracy theorists" were right and knew the truth 5 months before them.

Some still have their heads buried in the sand, claiming Dementia Joe is right, and Seymour Herch "has had major cognitive decline in his later years", such irony. I challenge anyone to listen to both speak and come to the same conclusion.

how do you explain this to yourself? Golden Duck? Spartan Max? Mr Tatetopa?

Why does the crazy guy get it right while your left spouting Whitehouse talking points?
