Should Republicans investigate Hunter Biden's business dealings and Joe's role in them?

and-then

Recommended Posts

The news out today on Hunter's 4-year investigation results has the potential to take down his dad's presidency.  The question is, are such issues suitable for our Congress to dig into and expose?  Will those who were endlessly willing to investigate the former president, also be willing to give Hunter's questionable business dealings with the CCP a serious look?

Two specific crimes are involved here and we will soon enough get to see if our justice system is ruled by a double standard or not.  Finally... could such an investigation serve to remove Biden through impeachment?  My guess is he will resign or simply tell the country he is not running in '24.  This scandal is going to absolutely ROCK DC, even though the legacy media will bend over backwards to ignore or minimize its importance.  Independent media is thriving and there will be no way to suppress the evidence that will be presented under oath in House investigations.  The midterms are 33 days away.  The Republicans will acquire subpoena power and control of House committees when the new Congress is sworn in next January.

Why bother?

They already made a movie of the outcome they fantasise about. Didn't happen in the real world, so the right wing world made crap up.

The Biden vendetta is a basket case.

In a perfect world, I'd rather see the government busy governing versus "investigating" a president they hate to the point of almost ceasing to do anything else, again. Besides, if Biden is removed that leaves us with Kamala... no let him stay til 2024, please.

There will never be a resolution on the Biden question and if they do prosecute Hunter it will be something token to seem to be taking action, like they did with Hilary over the classified mess she made.

Thing is, all these politicians are dirtier than we know. Nature of the beast.

Except for Carter, perhaps. Carter probably was clean.

Its a shame how this thread is presented so much unhinged hate and melt down.

Of course any person that there is evidence of wrong doing should be investagated, however even if biden is locked up which if he broke laws and evidence proves that he should be that doesnt make the myriad crimes trump did vanish or become fantasy if this allows you some cold comfort in dealing with trump wont be potus 2024 but convicted of crimes ( you said so yourself ) its all good.

:tu:

Some trump subjects have a mistaken dream or delusion that if biden was locked up, died, or whatever that trump would be carried on shoulders by goatboy and desk sitter down an orange carpet into a thrown room of the whitehouse...um, no.

Yeah, and if Kamala fell out right now it would be Pelosi.

Given the options, I am ok with Biden - but, only because of those options.

Nauseating.

Things CAN be worse.

It looks like tax evasion for Hunter.

Republicans in the Senate and Congress plus Tucker Carlson and Rudy Giuliani have already pawed over Hunter's laptop.  I think if there was anything incriminating Joe Biden, Rudy and Donald Trump would already be blasting it at every rally Donald gives.   Plus use it every time Donald Trump gets accused of anything, "but whatabout Biden?"  If calling him the big guy was incriminating Don Junior would be spending time in the slammer for his  meme of his dad "redact this."

He may be keeping quiet given his own tax evasion exposure? It never really went anywhere did it? I figured Trump might have already set a tax evasion precedent. Stall and die of old age before a decision is reached.

That would be the same as surrendering to the DC corruption.  It's entirely possible that an investigation will cause whistleblowers to prove Biden has sold us out to the CCP.  In any event, the nation deserves the truth about the provable implications of that laptop and Bobulinski's testimony.  I don't expect either Biden or his addict offspring to ever be held accountable BUT the Ds will NOT be able to suppress the evidence.  As I said, the independent media will be unstoppable.

Crimes he has been accused of over a period of what? Six years now?  Perhaps you can link us to his indictments or convictions?  Surely all these "crimes" he has committed must have caused him to be held accountable?  Or are you implying that someone in DC was protecting the man?

What is "unhinged" about expecting the obvious crimes of H Biden to at least be uncovered?  IF he is innocent, then the evidence will absolve him, right?

Hunter Biden: tax evasion, illegal purchase of a weapon.

Joe Biden: "tip of the iceberg."   does not get much traction in a court of law.  Evidence is what we need, and if Biden takes a lesson from Trump he can delay this until 2034.

The difference might just be Biden's own trail of emails and voice mails as well as eyewitness testimony by Bobulinski that Joe met with him multiple times regarding Hunter's business deals AND that Joe was part of the team and was being compensated as well.  I realize the play for your team will consist of blanket denials and doing everything short of Deep Fakes to impugn the evidence that will come from Bobulinski and multiple FBI whistleblowers but legacy media cannot cover this up and they don't have the influence to sway any but the most ardently sold out partisans for Joe.

IOW, the steady drip drip drip of connections, meetings, and blatant denials that are provably false will never be accepted by media or you lot but that isn't the target.  The target, since justice will be denied, is to use Independent media sources to plaster this info all over the interwebz and make your party mouthpieces look foolish for their refusal to accept evidence that reasonable people cannot deny.

As for the delaying tactic, I don't think any rational individual will expect him to be removed from office.  In fact, I don't think Schumer would even allow a trial if impeachment becomes a fact.  But again, all of that effort to protect him will be OBVIOUS and no one but Democrat voters will believe it.  It matters only to the extent that more Americans every day are becoming aware of what this party is doing to our nation and there will be blowback come November '22 and '24.

Carter was our only squeaky clean president, and I'm including  Washington who was a land speculator......well Jefferson runs a close second to Jimmy.

Carter was actually too honest.....

President Biden could also take a lesson from Trump and tell the Justice Department to charge Hunter, and then pardon him, like Trump pardoned Stone, Manafort etc... this would cause the GOP and Trump's heads to explode, because let's face it, Hunter is in the crosshairs of the GOP should they take the Senate.

President Trump's staggering record of uncharged crimes - CREW | Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (citizensforethics.org)

Here is a list of 55 uncharged crimes Trump has been accused of just since his time in Office and a few are probably going to bring indictments. New York, Georgia, Mar-A-Lago, Jan 6th. However, it doesn't matter if indictments are brought forward, he goes to trial and he is convicted. You will not accept the results, no more than most of the country believes the election was stolen.

He plead the fifth 440 times related to his New York case where he overvalued properties and quietly tried to settle with the New York Attorney General of which she refused. Once again it shows Trump trying to run the scene.

This isn't just a case of him overvaluing his properties and having a "disclaimer" that the stated values might not be correct, and it is the banks' fault, but a case of having two separate sets of books. One for favorable loans by inflating his properties value to gain larger loans (collateral) and another showing his property was essentially worthless when it came time to pay his taxes. This is what the investigation bought to light by Michael Cohen testifying before Congress has uncovered. Exactly what Michael Cohen said in that testimony.

The disclaimer only legally covers the accounting firm and most firms use it, but Trump somehow feels it applies to him.

Since these two puny crimes are all the the DOJ are currently pursuing I will guess that's as far as they are currently willing to go.  It's basically throwing the truth a bone.  Once a Republican is in the white house either heads will then roll or the GOP will use further charges as leverage to push their agenda.  If the latter is the case the USA is truly corrupt beyond redemption.

Dude, you are the one to bring trump up (as usual) aren't you always complaining about whataboutisms?

Pretend Hunters crimes (whatever those may be) and everything on his laptop have nothing to do with trump, because they don't.

You would have to wonder how a life long public servant could afford the legal team to do that
