The thing about love that should be but is never remembered is that no matter how constant and true a love is between two people, one of the pair is fated to leave the other against their will. It is a bitter pill to swallow, especially for the one left behind who must endure the others absence. I know, from my own experience. There truly is no balm in Gilead.

You’re absolutely right!

Now now Lil Ham, I'm going through these posts one at a time.

Love is patients, love is fine, love is beautiful, love is divine.

Love is humour, love can be great, love is an orange, but never a grape.

Love is the energy of GOD in the world.

The Universe.

Love is..

Yeah, but what is it, you little schmuck?

All we can do to solace ourselves is cherish the time that was given us and memories that endure as a sweet and wistful pain.

It is impossible for you, why is that? Your thoughts?

Ok, I will give you my thoughts, but please, give them some thought too.

When someone has nothing to believe in, and they have a bias against something, (and I am not talking about you) then, they shall shift their stance, their "hatred". or bias, against whatever is being said, not because of any principle, but simply to match their anger etc.

Therefore, one cannot have an open and honest discussion.

Luckily, as it turns out, love is good for any landscape, even the moving ones!

Oh, how droll, you don't have a clue, you're high as a kite. When you wake up on the concrete, don't say you weren't warned!

And apparently listen to the vacuous ramblings of someone who claims “Love is a protection, a shield from everything bad in the universe”. Not very protective nor shielding IMO when it comes to the loss of a loved one, especially when it happens frequently.

“Universal Truth” according to whom? If it’s just you and/or like minded individuals then it’s NOT Universal.

cormac

How can I say?

The Universal Truth according to this one, and according to many other Sages... is that All is One, and One is GOD.

That means that you and GOD are one, that you and I are one, and that everything in existence are just one.

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, are one.

And the good news is, is that one, may tap into this Oneness, and live life abundantly.

When love causes someone to fall into the blackest pits of despair at the fear of losing whom they care about. The man who loses his wife, a wife their husband. Lovers who fall apart. The child who feels the sting of losing a parent. Oh what great gift love is and a cold bitter blade as well. It stabs so deeply in the hearts, twisting, taking the gift it gave to you.

To be fair, we all resort to forms of escapism from the woes inflicted on us by the world. We all have our special talismans and spells no less superfluous than his.

True, but many possibly most of us don’t pretend it’s applicable to everyone while further pretending we never implied such.

I think some of our angst is because we wish it were true, that we would give anything for a message from beyond, assurance of continuance and yet none are forthcoming, just airy promises from wise fools, soon forgotten.

And this is a PUBLIC forum, so the real question IMO should be “Why” does anyone else need to know your beliefs?

cormac

They dont.

Which beggars the question, why are you here, on my thread?

I mean, I know why I am here.

Why is it important to you to express your truth/beliefs? Personally we all have beleifs/personal truths it is the human condition.

Because I know the power of love, and I wish to share THAT.

Are you objecting to my right to share?

A better question is why do you feel the need to share your beliefs?

Looks like wringing the truth out of jive is a lot harder than we thought. Hard to have a civil discussion when the OP won't answer questions.

Patients is a virtue my friend.

I am going down the list from one post to the next.

So am sorry if I'm not up to your speed (not really), but I want to get things straight.

They obviously do since this is YOUR thread. I see it as just another example of a self proclaimed “sage” dispensing their vacuous ramblings as some sort of “wisdom” meant for the masses. It’s not.

I think love is a concept.   Unconditional love is a concept as well.  I like, Conditional Love better than unconditional love.  Unconditional love involves me still loving someone regardless of what they do to me personally.  I don't really fit well with that concept.

But what you are doing @Crazy Horse is tying two Conceptual Strings together...i.e. Christ and Love...and attempting to make a very pretty bow...Christ Rising.  Your bow is beautiful and gives you joy,  and I think you probably want to spread that joy to others.  Which is fine...but the reality of the world is that not everyone cares about your joy.  They ain't buying what you be selling.  Which is fine too...but if you want to spread your joy on an open forum, other's will  either gravitate to it or ignore it or have a reaction to it that you interpret as negative.

It takes as long as you want, it's not up to anyone else to dictate anything.

The journey Home is instantaneous, staying there takes time to consolidate as One.

Look Linus, you keep on believing in the Great Pumpkin and maybe he'll come next year. Just ignore all those mean kids who believe in the guy in the red suit that goes ho-ho-ho.

Really, very true. You'd have to be a special kind of stupid to think people won't judge you.
