The insects aren't the focus of the footage, it's the mist-like anomaly on the right-hand side at the very end of the video.

To me, it looks like it could be his breath (presumably it would have been pretty cold).

Going through that door humid air follows him in his slipstream, then condensation takes place because of the temperature difference.

It moved far too rapidly to be "mist", UMO. Very small, too. 

I think it's just some reflection.

A night or two the past few weeks driving home late from the club i passed thru what i thought was patchy fog but no it was random hordes of spookies out doing who knows what in the near middle of nowhere...cool!
