I'm not sure why you expect people to apologize.  The Orange Menace took classified documents for his ego rather than to sell to hostile countries. Good for him?  He still took classified documents which didn't belong to him.  That was illegal.

The "thief only took your microwave and tv and cameras and Gameboy and some clothes and not any of your REALLY expensive jewelry or your car" line isn't a good look here.  It doesn't matter the value or the security level - they weren't his to take AND he'd been warned since early days of his presidency that documents needed to be preserved and that they weren't his property.

Also, the report said NO DISCERNABLE BUSINESS INTEREST - in other words, no business related need for those documents.

I am waiting for the surprise ticket of Liz Cheney for President and Adam Kinzinger for Vice President.  Among RINOs and Dems and Independents they are viewed and honest and actually patriots rather than faketriots. There might be a big crossover from Dems.  It might be just what we need for a reset of both parties and a return to honesty and Integrity which we know we will not get from Biden or TRUMP or their lackeys.

From that same article:

The Washington Post has previously reported that among the most sensitive classified documents recovered by the FBI from Mar-a-Lago were documents about Iran and China, according to people familiar with the matter.

At least one of the documents seized by the FBI at Mar-a-Lago on Aug. 8 describes Iran’s missile program, according to these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe an ongoing investigation. Other documents described highly sensitive intelligence work aimed at China, they said. The Post has also reported that some of the material focuses on the defense systems of a foreign country, including its nuclear capabilities.

Trump's intentions will affect what he'll be indicted for (if at all), but it doesn't change the content of those documents.

I doubt Pence will be on the ticket. People are mad at him for covering for Trump only to trash him after his book came out, and now he won't speak with the January 6th committee, but that was his prerogative.
