I got a little chuckle out of this article...

https://news.yahoo.com/chris-christie-boasts-only-republican-163700426.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZHJ1ZGdlcmVwb3J0LmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAANjvlSB97bkRqf8_Cod67j26Wi90-ZTY4go1MZEJ2Ambu8R3pNMOGJf6sxzEbB4TrcRNVzD67YitZHMB54HK95y4x0hJv37wnE9-BsT4XUw4TMiB3I8VSexWDFrms5wp4I98nV26Kz9kvyykOdpAz-b2IgQPmkvIVaAb7NrqCEMV

Quote

As the former New Jersey governor considers a 2024 White House run, Christie claimed in a new interview that a fellow onetime GOP presidential candidate encouraged him to take on Trump head on.

“No one else has the balls to do it,” Christie told Politico, quoting the unnamed ex-candidate with approval.

Christie believes he has the brains, wit and gravitas to go toe-to-toe with Trump.

And the world looked over and was like Chris Who?

Chris Christie is only one of many who "have the balls to take on Trump", and he is late to the party!  There lots of Rebuplicans in the list on the below website.

It is rhetoric that at least half the nation identify with. It wouldn't be so bad if those on the far left weren't as bad as the neonazis on the far right. They frame thier demands as progress, and caring, but for sure they are still demands and they expect obedience.

Not everyone wants to join a union. Not everyone wants to be forced to use pronouns. Not everyone wants soft on crime cities. Not everyone enjoys being shamed, by the hypocrites who otherwise say shaming is horrific. Not everyone believes a person should get a position based NOT on their education, experience, and credentials, BUT by the color of their skin, by their genitals, or by otherwise being a protected class.

Trump's message resonates with that smoldering anger. And Biden, being a tool, feeds these people more far left demands, forcing even more people to look toward Trump.

TBH, it's almost like the brass at the top are making sure the choice is yet again only between Biden or Trump.

Repub vs Dem

The Uni-Party.

As the saying goes "the more things change the more they stay the same"

No, your numbers are way off.   You watch too much media and that ad is aimed at people who don't get out into the world, are fearful of all kinds of idiotic things like a man wanting to be a woman or a woman who is a President of a big company or a muslim that lives next door or a homeless person.   Those people are not half the nation.   Do you fear any of that?   Do you know anyone who does?

MAGA had seriously lost the plot.

Out of all the issues facing everyday Americans, the second one they want to mention is trans people ? Lol

You guys have an obsession. And when 2024 roles around you will see that the obsession will lead to the results it did in Michigan.

Even people who agree with some of the points like sports and such. It's really not the top issues for everyday people.

Eyeroll...

Right, and you locked in a cave, and having an opinion, are the true prophet of the coming election....

The polls are right more often then not. If that is a self fulfilling thing or not, I can't say, but regardless, they are more often right. And right now it is a Trump versus Biden election.

I'd agree. Worrying about trans people is a waste of time. The trend will either remain, or it will fade. Either way spending time on it is just politics and solves zero of the nations real issues. But then neither the "tax and spend" Democrats, or the "tax and spend" Republicans, want to really deal with the real issues of Inflation, Homelessness, Social Security, Energy prices, and nation wide layoffs, so both sides going on, and on, and on, about trans people is just vigorous hand waving to distract the population.

Trump's odds with the bookmakers keep on shortening. Only small changes this time (moving slightly from $1.50 to $1.45), but it's part of a trend that has him drop from the $3.50 outsider only a couple of months ago. Funnily enough, the indictment had no noticeable effect on the betting odds (if anything, his odds have improved since his indictment - he was at $1.80 when it originally came out, though it's not clear if this was because of the indictment or just part of Trump's popularity, as he's been dropping in the odds since they became available [as noted he started as the $3.50 outsider just a few months ago]).

Edit: just to be clear, I should clarify I'm talking about the Primaries, not the whole shebang. Trump is still the outsider in the election odds ($3.40 to Biden's $2.70 favouritism, but ahead of Ron DeSantis' $6 - though if Ron can win the primary,  i do believe he is going to be the favourite,  his odds here reflect Trump's popularity among Republican primary voters).

Trump, like Ron Paul gets it.  No more wars.  These aren't sporting events.  People are dying.
