When will he pitch UBI? I can see it coming at this point. He's in a desperate situation.

Both Trump and Kamala are equally desperate to be POTUS. At this stage of the game both sides will pitch anything to get elected.

Trump has moved the Republican Party further left through the MAGA movement while the Democrat Party has moved further right with their Pro War movement.

It's never been so obvious as it is today that it's one big Party. The Uni-Party.

I believe there are a lot of individuals who go into politics with good intentions but from what I've heard and seen once these individuals make it Federally the game in DC changes them. They're forced to play the game or they're primaried and hardly ever heard from again.

Just look at what the Democrats are doing to the Green Party these days. AOC, in particular. Or, how Kamala bragging about Dick Cheney endorsing her and the Democrats on the ABC debate a few nights ago.

I'll admit, it's impressive witnessing this in real time.

Just like during his 2016 campaign and time as president, Trump made a lot of promises that he didn't fully keep. He said he would build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and have Mexico pay for it, but the wall was only partially built and Mexico didn’t pay for it. He also promised to completely repeal and replace Obamacare, but that didn’t happen, he has nada but “concepts.”
Although he talked about a major infrastructure plan and promised huge investments in roads and bridges, little progress was made. While he signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, it mainly benefited corporations instead of the middle class. Trump said he would “drain the swamp” in D.C., but many lobbyists ended up in powerful positions in his administration. He began talks to end the war in Afghanistan, but troops were still there when he left office. Trump also promised to improve veterans' care, but many veterans were still unhappy with the services available to them. He said he would create 25 million new jobs, but while jobs were added before COVID-19 hit, he didn’t reach that number.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/13/politics/pope-francis-trump-harris-abortion/index.html

Quote

Pope Francis on Friday described the choice US voters must make in the presidential election as one between the “lesser of two evils,” deeming former President Donald Trump’s anti-migrant policies and Vice President Kamala Harris’ support of abortion rights as both being “against life.”

Quote

“One must choose the lesser of two evils. Who is the lesser of two evils? That lady or that gentleman? I don’t know,” Francis said during a press conference on the papal plane, referring to Harris and Trump. “Everyone with a conscience should think on this and do it.”

I'd agree both have their issues. Judging which will serve worse is up to each individuals opinion.

I did say a few weeks ago that abortion was an important issue, I'm sure you said it wasn't important at all.

Trump's debate performance was awful. He's illustrated himself as the worst choice right there

And he's still claiming he won. This has a future Jan six part 2 written all over it.

How many new immigrants has the pope welcomed to the Vatican lately?

Well, according to the majority of polls it was ranking around 8th in importance. In one poll, I believe was as high as 4th place.

So important, but not very.

It was pretty bad. He didnt hammer home the things he's polling high in, and let Kamala set the tone.

Apparently, the polls tsken after, said 40% think he won, so that HE thinks he won isnt a tremendous step out of line.

Because it's a hot topic issue it's more prevalent than polls suggest, clearly it's a trigger point that can be used to fire up people.

That's a lot higher than I'm reading. Best was 37%, close to forty but most polls suggest a wider gap than that.

Some people are trying to defend the pet eating comment. Again, this has Jan six part two all over it.

Sure. Among liberals. Theyre like 75% of Harris's voter base. And like 35% to 40% of total voters. Ask any Republican, even woman, and they don't care. Or, at least it is way down the list of items they care about.

Independent voters are what win elections and theyre hot, then cold, on the subject.

I probably should have said, "roughly", but 40%, rather then 37%, or 35%, is close enough given a number given from memory.

Well, all I'll say is there have been issues with the Haitians in Ohio. But I'd also say there's a ton of Haitians and only a handful of examples.

It simply fits into his big selling point of foreigners are bad, and Democrats brought them to the US.

I didn't hear anymore of his "If it's a fair election...", or, "blood will run...", so that may be so, but his rhetoric at the debate isnt pointing at that, AFAIK. But, I've not listened to the whole 2 hours.

Hot topic subjects dominate news and swing swing voters though. For people sitting on the fence an issue like abortion I feel would likely affect that vote.

That's fox. All other polls are considerably lower. 40% is rounding up the highest poll. Averages amongst the polls I would suggest are likely to be closer to 30%. And that's extraordinarily generous IMHO. He failed.

But there's no examples.

Alleged evidence has been soundly debunked. We are left with hearsay that has been traced back to a single person who has apologised for what she started.

Surely only the minority voters are that gullible. If abortion is considered low importance of like to think a laughable ct is of negligible importance.

It has given many a good laugh and will for some time though. I suspected Trump's mouth to ruin his performance but he exceeded all expectations.

Not him. Maga. But speaking of him, how about, him claiming he won the debate? His devoted followers will believe that even thought it's clearly not the case. That's a Jan six tactic right there.

There are those dumb enough to actually believe and support the pet eating nonsense. The sort of brain dead person that believes an election was stolen. And your constitution arms these loonies. They are clearly ready to storm the capitol again but I expect they would be more heavily armed this time.

He's just the idiot that points these geese in a direction when his plans fail. Then laughs as they do time for him.

I've not found time for the whole two hours myself. It was played on tv here late at night and I had work the next day.

I fully agree and everyone knows trump is a man child cry baby sore loser who most certainly will bellow and bray fraud duex when he loses yet again and while maga will yell at the sky and pound sand parroting convicted felon mans bullying threats just like 2020 it won't matter, this time he will get laughed at harder,

Someone needs to take grandpas keys, give him some warm milk with a touch of brandy and help him to bed.

And now he's had a big baby cry over Taylor Swift endorsing Kamala.

He's a joke.

Thank goodness it's the last time you will have to put up with that clown for election. Hopefully he loses badly and finally crawls back under his rock.

The swift endorsements was epic big win for harris,

Take a gander at swifts stats,

swift stats upset felon and maga

I believe trump still has kid rock and nugent on his side.

I predicted harris would slap down trump in the debate if he showed up, which she did, i was surprised he showed as hes a coward bully so i said "if" he showed. I bet he wished he had stayed home and watched shark week.

Convicted felon will lose he will tantrum maga will tantum he will yell at the sky about fraud cry baby sore losers do that, maga will agree.

Some very loony maga minions might go on unhinged acts of insanity and will quickly end up hog tied and being hauled off to the hoose gow ruining their lives and families lives if it doesnt cost their life like the nut who attacked an FBI offic with a lol nail gun.

Trump will tantrum and use it to dupe maga into sending a millionaire their money now that sounds like a smart thing to do, he will rant and rave andvget laughed at except by kult of maga.

If i'm not mistaken he has already said that if he loses the election, the Dems cheated.  This is a tactic of a con man in my opinion , ,Also he has already been threatening the election officials with prosecution even if he wins. If the news is true.

Might be the orange coloured glasses.

It wouldn't be the first time you have had difficulties comprehending other posters.

Can you post where I wrote comrade? I can't recall that immediately.

This is setting a stage for trouble even before it takes place.Almost as if he wants to see trouble go down if he loses.

Jan six part two is something that I honestly think should be on the top of everyone's minds

I'm surprised the Harris campaign hasn't illustrated that very real threat to the people. Seems some need a reminder.
