Mystery as flock of sheep in China walk around in continuous circle for 12 days

Still Waters

A flock of sheep in northern China appear to have gone absolutely bonkers.

Footage captured this month shows a massive group of the farm animals following each other around in a circle.

The weirdest part? They apparently proceeded to walk continuously in the circle for 12 days straight.

They're trapped in a very small enclosure. Normally sheep would be wandering over hills . . . large areas. I think they were put in the small enclosure recently, having previously been used to walking all day . . . walking constantly is just a habit for them and there is nowhere for them to go but round and round.

Doesn't the human 'sheep' label mean someone who mindlessly follows the herd.

This is from another site:

''There is a disease that causes some animals to appear disorientated and start circling. Listeriosis can inflame one side of the brain and cause the sheep to behave in an odd way.''

also: ''Sheep in East Sussex caused a similar stir last year when they were spotted standing in concentric circles.''

You know, it might be some group mind behavior like starling murmuration and hence paranormal from the viewpoint of materialism where each mind is unconnected and can only follow physical cues.

But I haven't look into that and will issue no reading at this time.

Raindeers and other herd mammals are doing that kind of behavior to foul predators.

Starling murmurations are simply the result of each individual bird keeping track and reacting to a small number of birds in close vicinity.

Nothing to suggest it’s anything paranormal.

That doesn’t take away from how amazing it is though. That’s nature for ya!

Sheep are not as dumb as we think, they purposefully mess with us!

What you're seeing is crop circle trainees.

Crop circle investigators:  "Well, Bill... see any signs of who did this?"
No, George, same as all the others. It has to be aliens with their advanced technology. There's nothing here but sheep prints."

Notice that all the varying animal groups shown here go "clockwise"?

Not saying that means anything, just something I noticed.

A lot of domestic animals are underrated: cows, goats, donkeys and even chickens are also friendly animals to have around:

Only clockwise in the Southern hemisphere. In the Northern it is anticlockwise.

What does Southern/Northern hemisphere have anything to do with it?

Clockwise is "a circular motion towards the right"

Makes absolutely no difference which hemisphere you’re in.

You're thinking of something entirely different, probably the Coriolis effect, which simply does not apply in any way to animal movements.

That was the joke.

Nuts': Mystery over sheep standing in concentric circle

They are eating pellets sprayed out by an automatic feeder.
