One person was killed and five others were injured in a shooting adjacent to a popular Atlanta shopping destination Saturday night, police said. A group of people ranging in age roughly from 15 to 21 had been escorted off the property of the outdoor Atlantic Station mall and were on an adjacent freeway overpass when gunfire erupted, Atlanta police Lt. Germain Dearlove said at a news conference.  The deceased person was found at the scene, he said, and the injured were taken to medical facilities. Their conditions were not available. The background of a suspect or suspects was unknown. There may have been two sides in the group, with two shooters exchanging gunfire, Germain said.

What we are seeing is an increasing loss of respect for the rule of law.  Mocking those who question it, it will just continue to grow.  Nothing in life is "free".  When one "side" thinks they're winning because the media repeats their voice, they still cannot avoid the long term chaos that such mockery will lead to...

These shootings nationwide always seem to happen in clusters and then it fades out for a while.

Yes they do, they seem to trigger others to carry out similar events. I don’t understand why these shooting have turned into such a common events over the last 8 years. It almost seems like the individuals are carrying out this crimes for the attention they get for doing it. I mean that’s about as sick as it can get if that is the reason. It seems that the individuals carrying out these acts lose their morality, I just don’t get it.

Dude, to even try to relate all this killing to political divisiveness is completely ridiculous. Frankly I am surprised you would even go there, but it certainly seems like you have been very vocal and preoccupied with your predictions of members of American society rising up to combat social injustice. However, when it comes this situation or other mass shooting to date that has not been a proven motivation.

So seriously why add the comments you did to this thread, I would like to understand your motivation?

That divisiveness isn't the primary driver of the shooting but it IS a major factor when one ideology is protected under law and others are not.  ESPECIALLY when that situation has become so blatant that millions have become aware of it.  Lawlessness is the driver behind all such crimes.  That you disagree, is your right but that doesn't negate the reality.  Don't believe me?  Just watch as it becomes increasingly worse, all around our nation.  I've said it many times here... LAWLESSNESS IS A CANCER.

I believe you,  I have seen it with my own eyes. I have seen riots and destruction that police are capable of handling, even if they have not done it well.   I have also seen your leader who believes he is ABOVE all laws.  I have seen your Congress people lie to protect him.  I have seen you deny elections and any fact that does not favor you. I have seen you defy health requirements because you don't believe in them. I have seen your shooters kill Jews, Christians, LBGTQ people, school children and immigrants. You are right it is a cancer.
