Eldorado Posted December 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2022 The remains of the last known Tasmanian tiger - thought lost for 85 years - have been found stashed in the cupboard of an Australian museum. The thylacine died in captivity at Hobart Zoo in 1936 and its body was given to a local museum. But what happened to its skeleton and skin afterwards had been an enduring mystery. The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery lost track of the remains, and they were believed to have been thrown out. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-63855426 3 2

oldrover Posted December 6, 2022 #8 Share Posted December 6, 2022 I think this is very sad too. But not necessarily for the reason you may think.

That wouldn't be sad for the planet, the thylacine thing is. 1
