Still Waters Posted December 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2022 (IP: Staff) · Around 300 people had to be evacuated from a London restaurant after its Christmas decorations caught fire. Firefighters were called to the venue on Dover Street, Mayfair at 9.40pm on Friday to tackle the blaze, which is believed to have been started by an indoor sparkler catching a natural Christmas tree. A man and a woman were treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews. The London Fire Brigade says this should act as a warning about the fire risks at this time of year. https://www.itv.com/news/london/2022-12-17/hundreds-evacuated-after-restaurants-christmas-tree-goes-up-in-flames 5 Top
+susieice Posted December 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2022 Thankfully only two people were treated for injuries. With around 300 in the restaurant at the time, this could have been a lot worse. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/dec/17/diners-flee-christmas-decorations-fire-central-london-restaurant-mnky-hse
