Don't say 'pub crawl' or 'happy hour' this Christmas - it's not inclusive

I would have believed this was satire if someone told me.

This is the dumbest political correctness with language I have seen in a while.

I think our Stanford lads can match and beat them with their exhaustive dictionary of what not to say. Luckily our filters at UM have not adopted their standards or I would not be able to  *******  *** ************* **** ** * and  **** #### with ****  ** #### as we have been in the ### ##### *** habit of doing for so *********** long.

The Angles, Saxons, Frisians and Jutes invaded/settled in England ("Anglo Land") many ages ago. I often use 'Angry Saxons' as an alternative name for the Anglo Saxons.

There was also a tribe called "Angrivares". The 'angri' part is etymologically related to 'anglo' or 'angli'. Hence Angri/y Saxons.

Btw., a way to p@@ off a Canadian is calling him/her an American. And that's because the USAns kind of hijacked the term 'American'.

Another btw.: a way to p@@ off a Frisian guy/girl would be by calling him/her a 'Hollander'. Holland is only part of The Netherlands, the part the Frisians were at war with for a very long time.

And me using 'him/her' or 'guy/girl' is also becoming offensive for some of the lgbtq community.

We're evolving: within a century our toes will have grown several inches... < sigh >

i get p***ed because people call me an American meaning from "the states"  because Canadians and Mexicans are also North Americans.  I am told I am being stupid but I don't say I am an American I say I am from the U. S.   It is part of the dumbing down of the Roman Empire.

My favorite joke from a British televison show is the cops asking a guy with an "american" accent (and be honest, you know you all sound like most of us) asking what part of the states he was from.  His answer was "Canada".       It is not a U.S. thing except in the southern U.S. as much as a british thing as far as I can tell.  I especially liked that they said "the states" not America.

Makes me think of what I once experienced in Peru.

I was waiting for my train, and after a while one stopped. It wasn't the one I had been waiting for, but what happened I'll never forget.

A older guy from the US got out, and was greeted by what appeared to be his Peruvian guide. The USAn shaked the guide's hand, said his name, and added "I'm from America".

The Peruvian quickly glanced at me, and then replied, while shaking the guys hand, "What a coincidence! So am I!"

Brilliant.
