Trump Says He Has 'Total Immunity' Over Jan 6. and Did 'Nothing Wrong'

Donald Trump has once again denied any wrongdoing in relation to the January 6 attack on the Capitol while also suggesting he would have "total immunity" from criminal prosecution regardless. NUMBER ONE, as President, I have total Immunity. Number two, I did nothing wrong. Then the Committee members, mostly the same sleaze that pushed the Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX, started saying that 'Trump' did it. Even Shifty [Rep. Adam] Schiff got into the act again. SAD!!!" If former President Trump disrupted the certification of the electoral vote count, as plaintiffs allege here, such actions would not constitute executive action in defense of the Constitution," Sullivan wrote in his ruling.

While criminal investigations have different legal standards than civil lawsuits, Rachel Fiset, co-founder and managing partner of Zweiback, Fiset & Zalduendo law firm, previously told Newsweek that Sullivan's ruling on Trump's presidential immunity defense could also be used elsewhere. "Trump is continually attempting to hide behind the immunity offered to presidents acting in their official duties as president. In Trump's very unusual presidency, however, he attempted acts that arguably exceed the boundaries of his official duties," Fiset told Newsweek.

Well manwon i read it and delusinal runs even deeper in him and his subjects swallow it.

Since he went personal on some reporter ill share a story, in the late 80s early 90s my grandmother was watching some show with trump and she says you know hes really arrogant for such an ugly man, i bet hes the type that no matter how much he brushes his teeth he has that nasty breath.

Anyway he can bray all he wants about immunity he can yell it at judges etc but it doesnt make it so if prosecuted he will be convicted. The fact he says je did no wrong will just make them want to prosecute all the more.

Well Bats there is no doubt he believes he is entitled, but I believe the Gold spoon he was born with stuck in his butt or the delusional idea that he believes he has Presidential immune isn’t surprising. That’s, driven by his extremely Narcissistic behavioral disorder and because of it that’s why he is unable to control his behavior and his mouth. I believe his best defense if indicted is to use the insanity defense because it’s the truth and it is very obvious. When, I saw this article pop up I had to start this thread because his comments and mental meltdown is so obvious and it’s getting worst everyday! If he doesn’t find away to relax, he may stroke out or have a heart attack and even though I have no use for him as a human being I don’t wish him any harm!

To be fair in addition to declassifying powers, Trump has pardoning powers.  He just had to psychically pardon himself and everyone involved before he left office, just like he did with declassification of the Mar A Lago documents.

Yes and one wonders, since he has admitted to being brilliant and clairvoyant, did he see this coming?  Maybe he hides a secret guilt and a desire to be punished and the belief he is the only one that can do it.

Perhaps it deserves its own topic in psychology section but a lot of this is actually new to me before a few years ago i never really heard people being called things like entitled, narsisistic or exposed to gaslighting. Then in a weird irony we get trump as leader and it also enters my personal life so its an on going learning experence. I have come to the conclusion that narsisists very well might be considered mentally ill then the gaslighting thing which is a version of blaming others, the entitled is in league with being self serving self centered, at some point a person with all these traits that cant help it thinks it okay and the right way to threat others either they have mental issues or i do, well i know i do but you likely get my drift.

?Another thread certain to bite the dust here?  So sad we can't have fun dancing on Trump's political grave, for days, instead of hours in some cases.

If the DOJ does indict him, they'll have to call Dog the Bounty Hunter to track him down, because you know he'll flee the country.

He can't go to the Far East, they might execute him. He can't go to South America, they'll tie him up in the jungle, and let the ants pick at his bones.

Russia is likely his only choice. He and Snowden can share a bunk in the Kremlin, and they can plot their return to the U.S., together.

Trump is a wacko. He has no presidential immunity or any of the special powers he thinks he has.

A declaration of the importance of our nation as a democracy of equals will be to prosecute this ex-president as a regular citizen of the nation.

He can use his billions or whatever the liar claims is left in his tax returns to defend himself, but special powers are reserved fro Marvel and DC comic books

You know he might just convince a judge he is mentally unstable if he keeps braying about his powers and immunity.

The idea he is mentally unstable have been circulating for years. For the CT wackos, this is proof that Trump is unstable.

Hey Bats, the only the reason I am aware of the terms myself is because when I was diagnosed with PTSD I was very concerned about my own mental health so I did a lot of research on mental health conditions. I understand exactly how you feel about this conversation entering you own life because it does the same thing to me. Your description of the conditions your listed above is basically spot on but I will add a link below that describes what narcissistic behave is and when I made my comments about Trump I misspoke because he actually falls into the top category of narcissistic behavior known as Malignant Narcissism. As far as, starting thread in the psychology section I think it would be interesting, however I also believe that many members would speak honestly about their personal situations which could lead to trolling. I mean the one of the most serious ill individuals on the forum is both sick and a troll anyone come to mind:D

Yes Bats I get your drift perfectly because we have discussed our issues personally off line by PM, on more than one occasion.!:tu:

Trump is too dangerous to be allowed to free range. He’s a ticking time bomb.

As the saying goes:  Obvious criminal is obvious.

The USA needs to be a country where the Rule of Law holds primacy, and Trump is such a narcissist he seriously thinks he is above the law.  This used to be a conservative value that was held up as a cornerstone of what made the USA great.  Under Trump the GOP has turned on the FBI, which is primarily staffed by GOP voters.  What happened?

As I've had to remove several posts, a reminder for everyone posting here to discuss the topic, and not the posters.

Trump’s only special power is his willingness and ability to deceive his followers. In other words, a form of darkness.

Yet, he was removed from office by the deadliest plague to ever strike the United States. A plague initially called the coronavirus, which is named for a part of the sun, or form of light, only visible on Earth, during a total solar eclipse.
