The state of Israel will become the target of Iran and Russia’s new joint military agreement, following Israel’s increasing involvement in Ukraine.

The trial of mankind or Great Tribulation may begin in 2024, based upon the current average life expectancy of people living in Israel today.

The border will remain open.

Trump will be indicted, tried in a DC court and convicted.  The media will convince the low info types that this disqualifies him.

Hunter will be indicted but only on charges that will not touch on foreign dealings.

The Republicans will elect RINO McCarthy to Speaker

Any Republican investigations will be met with a media assault to disprove every piece of evidence that surfaces

The economy will continue to spiral down

The Fed will do a "test" run of a digital U.S. dollar

More states will begin to investigate the process of secession and forming another union, parallel to the DC government that is now illegitimate

My students invented the 27th letter a few weeks ago.
We were doing an in-depth lesson on innovation and how invented things change over time (candle to lightbulb to light bar to LED that sort of thing) and when it came to “create your own” one group decided to innovate the alphabet, and give us a dedicated letter to produce the “kr/chr” sound. It looked like a sort of double sided “r” and was called a “kher”.
We discussed if it made life easier, and they said it simplified the language.

So that's ONE of my predictions that have come true, any of your students developed the flying house?

Let me check the scans I took of their work….

Eta: flying cars, flying boots and a teleporter but no flying house.

That's delightfully brilliant.

Let's see....

  • My "send junk email here" account will have more than 3,000 emails (not kidding) from Trump by the end of the year (I got on his mailing list because I filled out a survey that said "should Trump run?"  As a liberal, I said "no."  I'm now on his mailing list and get up to 10 per day, many of them identifying me as "THE Patriot of the Month", one of his "top 47 Patriots" and so forth.)
  • Trump's rhetoric will get more out of control and his ratings are going to drop to the mid 20-somethings by mid year.  He won't believe it.
  • DeSantis will announce his run.  Stacey Abrams will make noises about running in 2024, as will Ted Cruz (ugh).  The Democrat candidates will be few in number and the Republicans will have a very crowded field with a confusing spread of issues.
  • More new variants of Covid that are resistant to current therapies.
  • A strong hurricane season this year
  • Two mass shootings in schools.
  • Elon Musk won't actually step down from running Twitter and Tesla stock will not recover well from its losses.
  • Russia's losses in Ukraine will incite a number of protests in Russia and the country will start seeing huge economic losses as sanctions tighten.
  • More floods and health problems in India.  Strong typhoon season
  • Movie theaters will stagger back to life on the success of the new Avatar movie but the end scenario is in sight.

I predict:

Trump will tell the Republicans they need to be more progressive and get away from the abortion issue.

I predict many Trump supporters will have an epiphany in the next month or two.

I predict white supremicists will start a war with Mexico when they go armed across the border to stop their imagined illegal alien crisis at it's source.

That would be adorable. My Apaches, Yaqui and Zapotecs are like ****ing Gurkha with machetes and axes who can shoot like snipers.

I can picture a spin with a American militia would be short and sweet.

Now that the number of letters is divisible by 9, it makes Gematria in the English language feasible.

They deserve a prize.

You guys do this all wrong. You have to predict using trends. Like crypto currency, I predict from watching the trends that with all my money in crypto I will get a rad slice of pizza that will be entirely paid for by my profits within a year. I might even post a picture of a slice of pizza here to show that its real, the pizza, and that I did indeed purchase it with my powerful investments.

(the thread's probably going to go to heck after this, isn't it?)

It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future

I still dress like that but I had to alter the straps to get around my pot belly.  In the winter I add a plaid flannel hoodie.  Sorry I don't have a recent pic, my witness protection guy advised against it.

Time for an update.

The very evening after making the this prediction I had dinner at the local establishment that had Guinness on tap.  After ordering pint  the barmen assured me he would bring my Guiness to my table after he'd finished pouring it.

Minutes later the same barmen wanders over to inform the tsp was out of gas and offered an alternative from the mostly pale ale selection.

I chose a ginger beer.

I'm shooting one from one for my predictions.

That's my usual gardening attire :tu:    (Though it's a bit cold and wet for gardening atm, so, sadly, no pictures :P )

Anyway, if I'm not too late, I predict (and in a similar vein to the above) that "celebrity" women's fashion will finally reach is nadir with someone who is famous only for not wearing much at award ceremonies finally doing the obvious and turning up at an award ceremony wearing absolutely nothing at all, except her high heels and perfume.

And wooden clogs will make a big comeback.
