I'm assuming if you had a string 10 trillion miles long, and you pulled on one end, the other end would simultaneously move also. no matter the distance.

What you are assuming is impossible with an ordinary, physical string due to how tension works. When you pull on one end of the string, a force is applied to the string causing it to stretch which creates tension. This tension goes along the length of the string all the way to the end unless something were to stop its motion. The speed at which the tension travels is known as the wave speed which is a finite speed, not an instantaneous one.
