Police are hunting for a person involved in a suspected arson attack at a Planned Parenthood clinic in central Illinois just two days after the state enacted sweeping abortion protections into law. The incident occurred at approximately 11:31 p.m. on Sunday night when police in Peoria, Illinois, responded to the 2700 block of N. Knoxville to reports of a structure fire at a commercial building due to an "unknown person throwing a Molotov cocktail" into it, police spokesperson Semone Roth told ABC News’ Chicago station WLS.

Fire investigators determined the preliminary cause of the fire was arson,” authorities said, and during the course of their investigation, the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division managed to obtain video footage that identified a suspect vehicle in the vicinity at the time of the crime. The arson attack on the Planned Parenthood clinic came just two days after Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed comprehensive reproductive health care legislation into law that protects out-of-state abortion seekers and allows them to get an abortion.

Most likely arson committed by a man who will never ever need the services that Planned Parenthood provides.

Funny, I don't recall any threads from last summer reporting on these:

At least 23 pro-life organizations have reportedly been vandalized in recent weeks.

The pro-life organizations have been either firebombed or vandalized by radical pro-abortion activists, according to Catholic Vote:

  1. Hollywood, FL — South Broward Pregnancy Center and Archdiocese of Miami Respect Life Ministry
  2. Asheville, NC — Mountain Area Pregnancy Services
  3. Manassas, VA — First Care Women’s Health
  4. Alexandria, VA — Concerned Women for America
  5. Reiserstown, MD — Alpha Pregnancy Center
  6. Frederick, MD — BirthRight of Frederick
  7. Frederick, MD — CareNet Frederick
  8.  Reiserstown, MD — Alpha Pregnancy Center
  9.  Buffalo, NY — CompassCare Pregnancy Services
  10.  Madison, WI — Wisconsin Family Action
  11.  Des Moines, IA — Agape Pregnancy Resource Center
  12.  Denton, TX — Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center
  13.  Austin, TX — Trotter House
  14.  Long Beach, CA — His Nesting Place Home for Mothers & Children
  15.  Sebastopol, CA — Pregnancy Center Billboard
  16.  Eugene, OR — Dove Medical Clinic
  17.  Keizer, OR — Oregon Right to Life
  18.  Gresham, OR — Gresham Pregnancy Resource Center
  19.  Portland, OR — Southeast Portland Pregnancy Resource Center
  20.  Vancouver, WA — Options360 Women’s Clinic
  21.  Federal Way, WA — Care Net Pregnancy and Family Services of Puget Sound
  22.  Lynnwood, WA — Next Step Pregnancy Services

"The attacks follow a leaked Supreme Court decision that revealed Roe v. Wade may be overturned this month. If overturned, abortion would no longer be protected by the federal government but would still be legal in many states."

I'm sure it was just an oversight...

They shouldn't have been vandalized.  In my opinoin, they're *******s, and hopefully the patients would realize that and avoid them like the plague, but not vandalized.  Just wish the Catholic church had cared as much about protecting children from predatory clergy as they care about protecting a fetus and convincing women to give birth.  But, different topic I s'pose.

What do you find so offensive about them?

You'd be right about that.  It had nothing to do with being anti-Catholic, if that's your point.  I'm one of the few here who actually doesn't care about the religious faith of others - unless their faith is proven to be a danger to me or mine.

You'll note that I'm not the one starting THIS THREAD, either.  I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of hyperventilating over lawlessness by one group as opposed to silence regarding much worse lawlessness by another.  It's a recurring theme in America today, innit?

I've often wondered about that, as well.

You’ll note that you went “well, what about…” and implied that the OP was a hypocrite for not protesting something similar, where’s I attempted to infer that you didn’t care either, making you equally hypocritical.

This attack is just like the rest of the attacks that have occurred over the last 20 years. These attacks are carried out by Radical RightWing Religious Members of the Republican Party. These people are not conservative members of the Republican Party, they are radical ultra Fringe Groups that hide under the blanket of the Republican Party (Dung Beatles) and they make up a very small percentage within the Republican Party.

I remember how different the Republican and Democratic Party was 40 years ago. Back then there was still bipartisan support between the parties. Where we are today, has been slowly occurring over the last 40 years a little at a Time, then Donald Trump appears and he brings the hammer down and the separation is complete. What makes me angry is that people here try to push absolutes and there are no absolutes and those who can only see things from that perspective are the problem not the dam solution.

Today people gave forgotten that there actually 5 Factions within  either party, not one or two. For instance  say I am a moderate Republican, but that isn’t actually true, in reality I am nether moderate or conservative I have taken what I like from both the Conservative and Moderate parts of the Republican Party and then I tthrew the rest away.

Democrats are the same way, they’re isn’t any different there are moderate and conservatives, well the only difference in name only. But, oh, it’s the left or it’s the  right or he is a Rhino, these classifications are part of the problem. For instance, as some as some one SAYS IT TGE LEFT OR THE RIGHT they have just proven their complete ignorance. Because, to use either term one has just put an entire party under a single blanket, and it’s impossible to place that designation only more than individual, but never an entire party.

1.  Abnegation ( The Selfless)  Abnegation is the faction that values the needs of others above the needs of oneself. Their core belief is 'Them before I.' Members of Abnegation take over the public services in the city. Tris Prior was raised in Abnegation. Though Abnegation can be selfless, a flaw of theirs is the fact that they are stifling. This is where they get their nickname, Stiffs

2.  Erudite (The Intelligent)

"Ignorance is defined not as stupidity but as lack of knowledge. Lack of knowledge inevitably leads to a lack of understanding. Lack of understanding leads to a disconnect among people with differences. Disconnection among people with differences leads to conflict. Knowledge is the only logical solution to the problem of conflict. Therefore, we propose that to eliminate conflict, we must eliminate the disconnect among those with differences by correcting the lack of understanding that arises from ignorance with knowledge."— Erudite Manifesto

3.  Dauntless ( The Brave )  We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another... We believe in shouting for those who can only whisper, in defending those who cannot protect themselves.

4. Amity (The Peaceful)  Give freely, trusting that you will be given what you need... Do not be angry. The opinions of others cannot damage you... The wrong is past. You must let it rest where it lies... You must no longer think cruel thoughts. Cruel thoughts lead to cruel words and hurt you as much as they wound their target.

5. Candor (The Honest) Dishonesty is rampant. Dishonesty is temporary. Dishonesty makes evil possible
