Not in my HUGE back yard! 156-unit low-income housing project sparks outrage

My town "sold off" it's low income requirements to a town who wanted them and passed a minimum lot size requirement.

I can’t speak to this situation or who it might affect. I just know that if someone planned to drop poverty violence and crime where my kids are having a peaceful upbringing, I wouldn’t like that idea to much either.

I purposely moved into a "dry" town so I wouldn't put up with that mess either....

it happened in the small city I live near.  About 10 years ago they built the low income apartments and recruited poor minorities from Chicago.  This was all government funded.  Now crime and drugs are up, the apartments look like they are 30 years old and people look down on the folks who live there.
