I don't know if humans could breathe on Mars or not. They might not be able to grow any vegetables there.

They can't, but they won't be living, unprotected, on the surface. They will live in pressurised habitats.

Same answer as above really, vegetables won't grow on the surface, but there is no reason that they can't be grown in pressurised green houses,
