In light of continued threats from peers and near-peer threat nations, the US stays on the cutting edge of high-tech weaponry to counter. On the heels of the B-21 Raider reveal last year, the DoD has now confirmed the development of a new high-power laser in its application as an anti-aircraft weapon.
