Mr Blobby costume sells for £62,000 on eBay

An anonymous buyer has given Mr Blobby a new lease of life by shelling out over £60,000 for the character's iconic costume.

The clumsy pink creature covered in yellow spots first attracted eyeballs starting in the early 1990s on various BBC shows.

He first made an appearance in the “Gotcha” segment of the hit BBC show Noel’s House Party, where celebrities would had to endure pranks.

The costume, which was originally listed last week by the seller with a low starting price of just £39, was made in the 1990s.

Person who bid £62,000 on Mr Blobby costume backs out of sale
