Oklahoma GOP Gov. Kevin Stitt is calling on lawmakers in the Sooner State to deliver a bill to his desk that "bans all gender transition surgeries" for minors.

The request from Stitt, who's currently serving in his second term as governor, came during his 2023 State of the State address in Oklahoma City.

"We must protect our most vulnerable – our children," Stitt said, explaining that "minors can’t vote, can’t purchase alcohol, can’t purchase cigarettes."

We shouldn’t allow a minor to get a permanent gender altering surgery in Oklahoma," he continued, receiving a standing ovation. "That’s why I am calling on the legislature to send me a bill that bans all gender transition surgeries and hormone therapies on minors in the state."

No they weren’t. They had just spent 5 years watching the establishment throw everything they could at this man to destroy him. Calling anyone who supported him nazis and terrorists. Only to then watch a senile old man win the election from his basement. They heard of hundreds of sworn affidavits being tossed as though they meant nothing.

They weren’t trying to throw out your vote. They were trying to make sure their votes weren’t.

I don't care that Twitter calls them names. It dosen't justify trying to throw my vote out.

I don't care what beliefs they have. If you can't prove it than you can't throw my vote out.

Its clear after all this time that no amount of court cases or investigations will convince people who don't want to believe it that the 2020 election was not rigged.

Angry trans people in Oklahoma who are mad about a anti trans bill passed it nonething to me compared to a national attempt to stop the presidential election.

Somehow I doubt these people busted down the doors and windows, trashed the place, stole things and had people fearing for their lives like with what happened with all the human trash people on Jan 6th.

Excuse me if I don't exactly feel threatened by this "storming". Yawn.

Excuse me if I don't exactly feel threatened the same way. Yawn.

I wonder how many police were injured or assaulted. Jan 6 was only about 150.

I don't know the specifics but I'm going to guess...zero? Someone might have tripped and stubbed a toe. Need to see the final damage and body counts to say for certain.

Twitter? How about 90% of msm, and a 1/4 of our elected officials. Some calling for violence.

Hard to prove something when you never get your day in court

What court cases??

It’s nothing to me either compared to a stolen election, and the denial of justice afterwards. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe you are wrong. Point is it wasn’t as simple as people trying to steal your vote.

True... and after their thuggish reaction on J6, that needs to change.  One justice for all or no justice for any.

Well, I'm sorry it took over 2 years but it's good to know you finally figured it out.  What tens of millions of other Americans BELIEVE, actually does matter, whether you accept it or not.  There is no longer any point in even trying to discuss grievances.  The faith in elections was destroyed in 2020 and the nation is on its way down.  Not just for - insert insult here - but for ALL Americans.

Our government just passed a 4000 page 1.7 trillion dollar budget. With no discussion, with not one of them even knowing what was in it. Every member who voted for that should be tried for treason.

But January 6th.

It is though. Trump pushed a conspiracy as an attempt to keep the presidency. And it fooled a lot of people who are to prideful to admit they have been conned.

Only dozens of court cases. And with investigations the Arizona conservative trifecta government even hired My Pillow guy to find proof of a stolen election.

None of that counts of course because no amount of investigation or court cases will ever be enough

If you focus on winning elections instead of on throwing votes out than maybe your wanana-be-dictator Trump will in office again.

You expect people to care about your conspiracy beliefs while outright ignoring the will and belief of the majority of Americans. Its hypocritical to say the least

How did you feel about the nearly NINE MONTHS of far worse behavior, damage and injuries to cops that happened in the year of the election?

From your perspective, I'm sure it does.  The point I've tried to make is that what a huge % of our population BELIEVES, actually should/DOES matter where our elections are concerned.  It's one thing to be sure in your beliefs but it is quite another to reject beliefs that others hold and not even try to understand the kind of damage that does to our nation.  Shouting people down and mocking them won't ever be enough to stop the damage to our country.  Trust in the vote is the last shared value in such a diverse nation.  Destroy that, you take the nation down.

Trump is solely responsible for that. If America breaks, the blood is on his hands alone.

Republicans aren't the bad guys. Conservatives aren't the bad guys. The orange freak is!

So your ok with unarmed people getting shot by LE? Why wasn't non-lethal methods deployed before lethal ones were?

People on UM are all against police brutality until they're not.
