Something strange in the Taiga

Unusual Tournament

Recommended Posts

A strange video was filmed by a copter. It bends trees and rushes through the taiga.
What could this be?

It looks like a CGI modified shear wind.

A developing sinkhole?

That's more plausible than a shear wind.

The ice melts leaving a hollow in the earth which collapses.

That's how Carolina Bays were formed.

It could be this: :w00t:

30,000-year-old giant virus 'comes back to life'

https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-26387276

An ancient virus has "come back to life" after lying dormant for at least 30,000 years, scientists say.

It was found frozen in a deep layer of the Siberian permafrost, but after it thawed it became infectious once again.

The French scientists say the contagion poses no danger to humans or animals, but other viruses could be unleashed as the ground becomes exposed.

It was found frozen in a deep layer of the Birmingham permafrost, but after it thawed it became infectious once again.

The French scientists say the contagion poses no danger to hedgehogs or Saxons, but other viruses possibly Norman or Welsh could be unleashed as the ground becomes exposed.

@acute Is this what got Monty? :unsure2:

It looks as if I can see the ground between the swaying trees.  I can't see any shadows moving on the ground. Where is this? I vaguely recall seeing a paranormal-type TV show which had trees swaying like this video, only from ground level.

Anything like this that is of short duration and comes with a music soundtrack is garbage.

 @acute  BlahBlahBlah

Will you please stop taking the p*** out of the Welsh?

The Welsh border is only 60 miles away from Birmingham, and we are all friends now, although they hate us.

Looks a lot like a moose rubbing tics off on the trees. Their black mantles make them near invisible from above. I've watched them do it. The way the trees move in the vid looks the same.

Fun fact; More moose calves are killed by tics every year than by all other carnivores combines.

A D6 cat could do it, until it fell into the sinkhole.

Wouldn't you have seen the diesel exhaust?

Probably.  Seems unlikely, but I have seen trees pushed over with a cat, looks somewhat like the video.

Unless it was a multidimensional electric D-6  that the aliens allowed to pass through a dimensional gate to get some exercise on earth.   Sometimes Bigfoot likes to drive instead of walk.

It makes me sad that videos can't be trusted.  So many are either fakes or a cut from a longer video that leave out the obvious explanation for the benefit of mystery.  People seem to want their 5 minutes of fame and 10k clicks on media more than truth.
