Popular Post Eldorado Posted February 26, 2023 Popular Post #1 Share Posted February 26, 2023 Mexico’s president shared what he said was a photo of a mythical woodland elf that he claimed provided evidence of the existence of mischievous Mayan spirits. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador posted a photo to his social media accounts that he claimed showed an “alux” from ancient folklore. The grainy photo, which appears to have been taken at night, shows an indistinct creature in a tree. With two bright white eyes and long hair or a headdress, it stares down at the camera. The president suggested the creature resembled a sculpture from an archaeological site on the Yucatan peninsula. MSN 2
+and-then Posted February 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2023 He'd better be careful. He'll get "canceled" for cultural appropriation 1
flying squid Posted February 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 26, 2023 I thought the presidents are the serious people. I'm disappointed. 2

Jon the frog Posted March 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2023 (edited) Mexico, probably a possum. Would like to see that tree during the day and some size references. Edited March 2, 2023 by Jon the frog
Tatetopa Posted March 2, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2023 People in Iceland detour roads and build houses for elves. Is a semi-human forest spirit any weirder than bigfoot? Much of the world, including the US still worships a magic sky elf in various incarnations; not a mischievous benevolent trickster, but a full fledged king of Fae, quick to anger and awful in his punishments.

Could be a monkey too.... or a bigcat, or ... well a lot of choices.

+DieChecker Posted March 3, 2023 #11 Share Posted March 3, 2023 Pareidolia in my opinion. If there were more pics showing it moving around in the tree, or from a different angle, we'd be able to tell more.

HollyDolly Posted March 3, 2023 #13 Share Posted March 3, 2023 Well, it could be a monkey of some sort, depends on where the photo was taken. It does appear to have some sort of long white hair though. They do take such things as witches(brujas) and other such things seriously. After all , on All Souls Day they have altars to dead relatives. As a Hungarian-German Catholic, I think that's odd, but okay, whatever floats your boat.Plus Drug Cartels and other criminals worship Santa Muerta, or St.Death WHICH IS NOT A SAINT IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, and quite a few Mexican priests and bishops have denounced as being not christian at all but more satanic. Just as crazy as that Pachamama business at the Vatican for their Amazon Confrence. They put several of those Pachamama statutes and in a couple of Catholic churches in Rome, and some right minded Italians threw them in the Tibur to show the pope he's committing sacrelige and is an idiot. What's next, putting oak tree stumps in German churches? After all , St. Bonafice chopped down the Sacred Oak of the germans before he whacked my ancestors up side the head with a cross. Trelane Posted March 9, 2023 #17 Share Posted March 9, 2023 No calls for a vote of no confidence with this clown? It's good to see the US doesn't necessarily have the market cornered on ridiculously stupid presidents.

How many Americans including high ranking politicians believe in Bigfoot and UFO's based on crappy photographs? We neither have the monopoly nor are we immune. ExoPaul Posted March 12, 2023 #20 Share Posted March 12, 2023 The photograph was taken in 2021, 2 years before the President claims it was taken. There are other photos of it climbing up/down the tree. AI analysis suggests it is a Raccoon or a similar animal to one.
