I vaguely remember one episode where a guy steals a pair of shoes from a cobbler and finds out that he becomes just like the real owner.  It's very fuzzy but I recall that the pair he steals belongs to a dead man :(   Ooops...

It's a series from the 60s and 70s called THE TWILIGHT ZONE.  These days it would probably air on the TV LAND channel.

Oh ok, I have the complete Twilight Zone series I purchased a few ago!!!! Here, Korea those old TV shiows are never played, it's a good thing I have the series!

@Grim Reaper 6 specifically it is the episode "To Serve Man", the woman was the only one who actually read it and the men got on the ship to go to the alien planet with her yelling "Wait, it's a cookbook!"    

I read the short story by Damon Knight before I saw the re-run of the episode.

You would think that since the aliens are using their thoughts to communicate, they might slip and reveal there plan, but no, they are so advanced this can't happen. Amazing.
