Donald Trump Names Day He’ll Be Arrested In New Truth Social Screed

Donald Trump suggested on Saturday morning that he will be arrested Tuesday on charges relating to the $130,000 he allegedly paid in hush-money to adult actor Stormy Daniels.

The former president also called on supporters to “protest, take our nation back” ― in what commentators interpreted as a call to violence ― in the venomous rant on his Truth Social platform.

About time justice caught up with him and he spent some time behind bars. Let's hope it is Boris Johnson next for the damage he has done to his country!

“Protest, take our nation back” will come back to haunt him when violence breaks out if he is arrested. No amount of protest would do that. Anarchy could though.

I don't know if what he posted is incitement, but it seems pretty generic to me. Calls to "protest" are pretty regularly posted by many, many politicians, and on both sides of the D-R spectrum.

That he'll be arrested, is probably likely. These cases have been going a long time and when they run so long there is always something found. There will be some minor law broken that requires him to be arrested and charged and released, and then settled, or a minor fine paid.

It's funny how white collar crimes do always seem to go like that

I will also add that after Jan 6 I don't particularly care what Trump says as much as I care about how his crazy followers interpret what he says.

Good. Arrest him, lock him up. Begin the endless news cycle about how paying a porn star to keep her mouth shut is the worst crime since the Holocaust.

I fully support this as long as it sets a precedence that is applied to and carried out against all of our elected officials. The insider trading, the quid-pro-quo, all the stuff the media runs defense for and tells you not to care about. Wouldn’t that be awesome? Arrest them all, clean house. And the best part would be that the precedence established by prosecuting Trump would fulfill his  promise of draining  the swamp.

It's histrionics on Trump's part. He may be charged and processed but this guy isn't going to see jail for this, he's just trying to rile up his base.

"Protest" isn't incitement, though, that's totally legal. We'll see, I'm not expecting much.

Poor Donald, he has to pay women to shut, or open, their mouths.      I’d much rather see him arrested for the ELECTION TAMPERING ..or even attempted election tampering.     https://www.brookings.edu/research/second-edition-fulton-county-georgias-trump-investigation/

Potential election crimes that may be on the table for Georgia prosecutors include: (1) solicitation to commit election fraud, Ga. Code Ann. § 21-2-604(a); (2) intentional interference with performance of election duties, Ga. Code Ann. § 21-2-597; (3) interference with primaries and elections, Ga. Code Ann. § 21-2-566; and (4) conspiracy to commit election fraud, Ga. Code Ann. § 21-2-603. While the elements of these crimes vary, the gravamen of these offenses is that through conduct such as the call to Raffensperger demanding that he “find 11,780 votes” and the potential orchestration of the false electors scheme, Trump may be shown to have exhorted Georgia officials to change the lawful outcome of the election. Trump’s full course of conduct before and after the election suggests clear and consistent intent to solicit and pressure government officials to reverse the election results.

C'mon buddy.  Its OK to pay off a porn star.  But sadly, it is not tax deductible.

It's Trump on the line, but I'd imagine Stormy "knew" as many politicians as Epstein did.

What you have described there doesn't require arrest.

Why does Trump need to be taken into custody to be charged with something minor that results in a fine.

Did you mean arrest is unlikely?

People can be arrested for shoplifting. Or crossing the street between lights. Or any of hundreds of other things. And all simply to be fined.

Being arrested simply means they are taking you to the police station, or government office, to process your paperwork. Doesn't necessarily mean jail time, or prison.

If Trump committed a tax crime, or a campaign finance crime, he could easily be subject to arrest, and then later that day be released. Or, if he agrees, he can arrange a time to surrender himself.

Plus, NYC has been itching to get Trump in cuffs, so it would be a political, and media, spectacle more then anything else, and that's mostly what they want.

The DA in New York wants to be the one who gets credit for making the hater's dreams come true.  They'll get to try to humiliate him by videoing him walking in cuffs.  Musk is right... it will get him re-elected in a landslide.  I think even the more rabid of his haters understand this at some level but they've waited for so long to hurt him and been disappointed so often, they're willing to do ANYTHING to finally "get him".  Just remember, other, better funded investigations were done on this charge while he was in office and they found no evidence that he broke any laws.  His "crime" is paying money to a ***** to keep her quiet while he ran for president.  The rest of the business world calls those - NDAs

I'm imagining him peeking out the window and asking if ALL the reporters are there yet. Then after they cuff him, in the front, he raises his hands above his head and makes a short speech. He'll be a martyr to many.

Quote

According to the Times, the case against Trump hinges on an "untested and therefore risky legal theory involving a complex interplay of laws."

Which, if you can read the NY Times article, says even if the untried combination of laws results in a guilty verdict, it would be a lower end felony, and possibly not even result in jail time, only a fine.

Sounds like their just planning a TV special for ratings with Democrat voters. Its unlikely Trump will be discomforted by any of this long term.

I warned the FBI, but they’re so arrogant they can’t see the new power Trump will likely, soon wield. They don’t understand the significance of this.

Trump doesn’t need to use any form of violence, at this juncture. Instead, he is starting his 2023 campaign in Waco, TX to put down his marker.

I don’t support Trump, but this is a smart move.

Waco is the biggest mistake that the FBI ever made, and they have a lot of innocent blood on their hands there. The reason is simple, they could have easily arrested David Koresh on any number of occasions, when he was away from that compound, but the FBI chose the wrong, arrogant path.

By placing his marker at Waco, Donald Trump is signaling that he can destroy the FBI, exactly as I have foreseen. Thus, he may be setting the stage for a new kind of conflict, on Earth.

After the Mara Lago situation, Musk said the same thing in regards to the mid-terms. He was wrong.

There is one falsity down that wasn't a witch-hunt. Let see how many more come true.
