Exactly we do.  Follow the Constitution, don't cut corners, equal justice for all.

Trump is not getting charged for his politics, he is being charged for his business and what he did as a private citizen before and after he was president.  It seem like the MAGA crowd wants their leader to be above the law in defiance of equal justice and the Constitution.

Turn off the game of thrones on your TV and follow the Constitution.

At least half the rapists, robbers, and murderers in prison say they are innocent, that they did nothing wrong.  Should we let them all go on the basis of that?  NO more justice no more trials?

Don't forget, Robert E Lee the 15th up there is pining hard for another civil war.

If trump runs he will win. But it won't be because of any support he will GAIN. It will be because of the lack of voter turnout on the democrat side due to the lack of a viable candidate to challenge him. 80 million people aren't going to come out to vote for a 2nd Biden term OR a Harris run.

I think more people voted against trump than for biden so who knows?

If he runs there will be turnout just to squash him like the demented orange bug he is, regardless of who the choice is.

I would agree with that, I was one of them.

Probably right.  I'd be completely fine if neither Trump or Biden ever saw the inside of the White House again, but given that Trump gets the nomination, I'll be voting for whoever is running against him.   And if that candidate is garbage as well, I guess it'll be time to go 3rd party.

Even the news liberals are saying this particular case is weak.

https://www.foxnews.com/media/manhattan-da-case-may-be-weakest-one-against-donald-trump-msnbc-hosts-and-guest-fret

Quote

Former U.S. attorney Chuck Rosenberg said, "People keep referring to the New York case as the weakest case. To me, as a former prosecutor, weak means a case where the evidence is thin or perhaps you don’t have a reasonable probability of conviction,' What I think they might mean is that it’s the less serious case. And how serious a case is, is reflected in how it is categorized or classified. In this case, under New York state law, it’s a misdemeanor. It’s admittedly less serious."

Quote

MSNBC host Jonathan Lemire reported, "I do think there is concern. Democrats I've spoken to, including some senior members of the White House, who do fear that because this case is weakest, that if it is brought first, that it will be potential--allow Trump to then paint this one as illegitimate, that it's weak, and suggest that all of the other cases against him are as well. And that is something they're worried about."

So, a misdemeanor? Notice that all the news articles touting the possible arrest have left that out.

If this arrest is happening over trivial misdemeanor things that have already been litigated to death it's only because after everything they've thrown at him, all the money, energy and the full weight of the entire federal government... This sad affair is the only way they can get the fingerprints and mugshot they've been salivating for for so many years so they can plaster it all over every ad campaign for the next year. It's not based on any real sense of justice. It's simply based on preventing him from running or winning again. It's as simple as that.

If there was any real sense of justice involved he would have been put in jail for tax fraud years before he ever ran for president the first time.   His wealth is tied to all the dirt he has on really rich and influential people.   His life is a con man's dream, somehow he has been able to sustain it all these years, and the only thing that makes sense to me is that he knows things about rich, influential people that would cause their houses of card to tumble if he ever was allowed to tell all.

This one really is the weakest case out of all of them.  I want to see him go down for the calls to Georgia, not for paying to keep a consensual sex act out of the news.

I don't think this will go anywhere.

But I'll add that infidelity was enough to get Clinton impeached. Or trying to hide it atleast.

Haven't heard a peeep from you about Kushner's $2billion "investment" from the crowned prince of Saudi Arabia.... but I get it, that doesn't fit your narrative.   Your selective outrage is quite telling.

Nope, it was another lie to get attention.   He isn't going to be arrested, unless the IRS gets him.   If he was going to be arrested it would have happened last year for insurrection.

Did you see the petition for Trump not to be arrested going around for people to sign?  I gotta find it again, but if you sign it, it takes you directly to a page to donate anywhere from $24 to (I believe) $3k toward his campaign fund.  Grifters gonna grift.

Edit:  Found it.    Trump Asks Voters to Sign Petition Against Arrest, Then Asks for Money (businessinsider.com)

Donald Trump wants his “74 million” supporters to sign a petition against his possible arrest. Those who sign it are asked to donate $3,300 and up. (ustoday.news)

I won't click on it but I am not surprised at all.   It is amazing what kind of cons he or someone using his name gets away with.

As amazing as it is that he gets away with it, it's amazing that he still has rubes that will go along with it.  Maybe one of our MAGA folk can explain to me why they allow themselves to be fleeced so much.  Anyway, the links are for articles about the petition, not the petition itself, but I definitely wouldn't click on any link to the actual petition

Apparently the grand jury doesn't even meet on Tuesdays, so it was never going to move today, anyway. If anything happens, it's not happening today.

But everyone has been talking about the Florida Man today and all weekend.     He got what he wanted.  Even I was using his name, which is what he wants.

Kushner isn’t president, though, is he?
