If guy who escaped commie China is concerned over stuff happening in US, I'd say situation isn't good...

We're a long way from communism.  There is not one single communist in the House or Senate.  There is one socialist in the House and one in the Senate - not exactly a majority.

I have friends who escaped Communism who are very concerned about the direction the US is going. They’re seeing some of the same tactics used in Cuba and Vietnam to alter public opinion.

Adopting the political label ‘Communist’ is no longer necessary for politicians to promote Communist/Marxist ideals. BLM is a prime example. Politicians and corporations can support Marxist ideals by promoting BLM as a viable ‘Social Justice’ organization without fear of being labeled Marxist themselves.

Nor do we have a single communist policy in place in this country.

"The similarities are very, very striking between the Chinese Communist way of persecution and the American leftist way of restriction and even discrimination,"

The American left uses their freedom of speech to criticize.  The CCP throw you in jail if you say something they don't like.  That is strikingly dissimilar.

They infiltrated our education system decades ago and it's really showing now.

Okay, so let me ask...who is it exactly in the US that is creating a Communistic regime slowly but surely?  Half the country will say it is the other half.

There you go.  Divide and Conquer.  We fell hook line and sinker for the pandemic.  We never really questioned that we 'had to stay at  home'.  The old Hell No American attitude is gone...it has been replaced with...Okay, whatever.  Whatever is best for all of us.  Meanwhile, a Salon Operator in Texas was arrested for daring to open her store and let customers come in!  Mmmm hmmm  the situation isn't good I would say as well.

If by "communist style" governing means imposing laws that restrict freedoms of a certain group like womens abbortion rights, restricting someones rights of sexual identification, banning certain books, researche and education on race, reserving the right for only one group of people to protest, insulting everyone different one the base of their religion, skincolor, heritage, culture, supporting stalinlike communists and nazis...then yes, she hit the nail in the Head with Trump, DeSantis, MTG and their supporters.

Joc, that happened all over the world. In USA, in Germany, in Japan, in Italy...in Australia  Africa, Asia...Middle East..Saudi Arabia, Israel-Palestine......that had nothing to do with communism, socialism, capitalism.

Well, thanks for that, now I will sigh a breath of relief!  Oh wait, what is it that we find all over the world that has been slowly growing for decades?  Socialism!  yeah

What I'm talking about Odas is the willingness of American Citizens to just 'go along' with whatever the government tells us.  Wear a face mask, Simon Says...okay.  Stay home...Simon Says...okay.  Get a Vaccine...okay.  Wait they didn't say Simon Says...but they tried to.  The pandemic was a lie...a farce...a huge exaggeration from the beginning...but the Americans (and yeah the rest of the world) just lock stepped into the mentality that whatever the CDC and WHO say is true.  I know I did.  We had proof right...the exponential right?  That was all BS.  A lot of people died during that time.  A lot of people are always dying, and they were blaming the deaths of practically anyone who died and tested positive with Covid 19 as having been a victim of the dreaded Covid.  We know that just wasn't and isn't true.

But regardless of my views on the pandemic.  It did show the world how completely docile and clueless Americans have become.  Dumbed down to the point of being extremely manipulated.

And let me just add that some of us were saying...Now wait just a minute...and we were so severely criticized by everyone else...nonetheless...now some of those are also saying what I have been saying since 2020...FAKE.

Since the 1960s Leftists, Progressives, Socialists, and Marxists have migrated to, and have taken positions in every level of public school and college education, including in the National Education Association (the national teachers union), public school teaching positions, public school administrator positions, college professorships, college department heads, college deans, members of Boards of Regents, and in government positions at every level of The Department of Education.

In 2007, four U.S. Communist groups formed an alliance in order to work toward taking control of the Democrat Party in California, and then in other states, with the ultimate goal of taking control of the National Democrat Committee.   The long-term plan included the indoctrination of students at all levels of public school education, and in colleges around the country, in order to convince millions of students that the Constitutional Republic had been a massive failure, while at the same time, painting a positive image of Socialism.  The goal was to gain the support of generations of naïve students, with the expectation they would eventually help the Communists gain control of local, state, and the federal government.  Their detailed plans are outlined in the attachment, labeled The Inside/Outside Project.

Wait, you used a Sonoran News article.... an organization that openly admits they're biased in favor of Conservatives (as noted on the header saying "The Conservative Voice of Arizona") as proof?   A guest editorial (aka opinion piece) at that?  Are you expecting anyone to take that article with anything more than a grain of salt?

Kamala Harris is a communist?  FFS dude, you're ridiculous.  They've really got you conditioned into thinking that anyone you disagree with is a communist, haven't they?  Do better.

And at what point did I reference C-Span?  Do you have anything other than "whatabouts?"

Socialism? If you mean an atempt to make life of a population better, safer and more educated than I take this socialism. If it means that everyone has access to affordable healthcare, then I take this socialism. But  we know, that affordable healthcare, social institusions, affordable education, is very hard to implement. Only 32 out of 33 developed countries made it work. Not an easy quest.

I remember my English teacher in high school telling us how Russia was pretty much just like the United States.  Everyone had a boombox, TVs, jobs, etc.  That was 1975.

No,  I mean the idea, the very idea, that the government owning one or more major pieces of industry can actually make the citizens life better is a lie.

Ironically enough it was the soviets who fell from within.

I don't think their propaganda statements are very meaningful tbh

Nowt to do with socialism.   It's about authoritarianism - and regimes from both ends of the political spectrum can and are guilty of that.

Those two things have nothing, absolutely nothing to do with each other though.  Krushev was making a statement of authoritarian power...Bush was just spouting one more Political Lie to get his base's votes.

The Communists have a very nasty way of slithering their way into a society, usually via socialism, and then pointing weapons at people while saying...Welcome to Communism Comrade.  You will love it!  ...but hey, if you don't, just keep your mouth shut...otherwise we might have to do something very not nice.
