Trans women banned from female athletics events

World Athletics has decided to exclude transgender women who have gone through male puberty from female events.

The body's president, Lord Coe, said "decisive action" had been taken to "protect the female category in our sport".

Lord Coe told a news conference in Monaco: "The council has agreed to exclude male-to-female transgender athletes, who have been through male puberty, from female world ranking competitions from 31 March.

For the same reason as this ban there is no need to take opposite action.  The chances of a trans man being capable of competing with male pro level athletes is remote.

This has gotten way out of hand.  Boys, girls, men and women.   If there is a different group or groups, then fine.  I am all for it.   

Just create trans-athletics and break it into as many special categories as desired.  
We don’t have to destroy everything to prove our fealty to the Almighty and infallible Tolerance and Diversity.

Transgender GAA player Giulia Valentino has broken her silence after a controversy erupted when a referee said she couldn't continue playing because of her biological gender.

Speaking this week after the furore in July, she said she'd 'like to be remembered for leaving a legacy of inclusion for other transgender players'.

When Ireland's first openly LGBTQ+ club, Na Gaeil Aeracha, played Na Fianna's ladies E team in a game this summer, the referee paused play and told the captains there was 'a problem' with Na Gaeil's number 21 - 'the player is a man'.

There are trans men that compete in sports but they tend to be far less controversial. 

Have you heard of Mack Beggs? A high school state wrestling champion. As a trans man he wanted to compete against other males. However, the rules meant he had to compete according to his gender at birth. He even reduced his testosterone to try to mitigate any advantage. He still beat everyone. And then had to endure accusations of cheating and even a court case over something that wasn't his doing.

I thought this a curious oddity. That rules made to protect female athletes from unfair competition end up giving another trans athlete an advantage that they didn't want. 

As for restrooms. In general, I don't think men really care about that.

Science has proven that males are naturally stronger than females. More muscle mass and larger bone structure. You can even tell the difference

when a male & female stand next to each other. But science is ignored to fit a narrative.
