The chances of a trans man being capable of competing with male pro level athletes is remote. 5 1 Top
Megaro Posted March 24 #4 Share Posted March 24 This has gotten way out of hand. Boys, girls, men and women. If there is a different group or groups, then fine. I am all for it. Just create trans-athletics and break it into as many special categories as desired. We don’t have to destroy everything to prove our fealty to the Almighty and infallible Tolerance and Diversity. 8 Top

Transgender GAA player Giulia Valentino has broken her silence after a controversy erupted when a referee said she couldn't continue playing because of her biological gender. Speaking this week after the furore in July, she said she'd 'like to be remembered for leaving a legacy of inclusion for other transgender players'. When Ireland's first openly LGBTQ+ club, Na Gaeil Aeracha, played Na Fianna's ladies E team in a game this summer, the referee paused play and told the captains there was 'a problem' with Na Gaeil's number 21 - 'the player is a man'. There are trans men that compete in sports but they tend to be far less controversial. Have you heard of Mack Beggs? A high school state wrestling champion. As a trans man he wanted to compete against other males. However, the rules meant he had to compete according to his gender at birth. He even reduced his testosterone to try to mitigate any advantage. He still beat everyone. And then had to endure accusations of cheating and even a court case over something that wasn't his doing. I thought this a curious oddity. That rules made to protect female athletes from unfair competition end up giving another trans athlete an advantage that they didn't want. As for restrooms. In general, I don't think men really care about that. 2 Top

You can even tell the difference when a male & female stand next to each other. But science is ignored to fit a narrative. 3 Top

So by always you meant rarely; but, you can just say it doesn't matter because following the rules is cheating. Words matter. You don't get to redefine them. Don't expect to get a pass when you misuse them. As an anti-vaxxer now preaching science, you should learn the meaning of "genetic makeup". How did Usain Bolt's "genetic makeup" change throughoit his life? And following your earlier "scientifical BS", learn how ADT changes a male's physiology. It might be important to you one day. What science do you stand with? 1. The science that draws conclusions based on the data. 2. The science that is politically controlled 1 Top

What a joke that you would suggest otherwise. In fact everytime you quote science you stuff it. You quoting science is a dead set joke. Stop it. You haven't the foggiest what you're on about. Don't pretend you have a clue about something that you are indeed clueless about. Go back to chanting parables out of the bible. Levine is the United States’ highest ranking openly transgender official. University of Pennsylvania athlete Lia Thomas made history after becoming the first transgender NCAA swimming champion ( here ). She won the women’s 500-yard freestyle in Atlanta. Thomas triumphed in a single category, so to claim she now dominates women’s swimming is misleading. The race she won was just one of 21 swimming and diving events listed in the 2022 Women's NCAA Division I Championships. Other competitors took the other titles. She isn’t listed under the records in the NCAA results summary, and ranks 6th among the top point scorers in swimming ( here ). Ohh looky, the science. Fact checked. Thomas didn't dominate. What schock. I've only seen GD post that a about twenty times so it probably hasn't sunk in yet hey.
