UK space sector income reaches £17.5 billion as jobs and services grow

The amount the UK space sector brings to the economy has grown by £1 billion, helping launch new business and create jobs across the country, according to new figures.

I don't think you understand the point.

This is not the money that is being given to the UK space sector, this is the revenue generated BY the UK space sector. They generate this money in the same way that any business sector does, by the sale of products and services.
