Eldorado Posted April 3 #1 Share Posted April 3 A team of paranormal investigators have shared a photograph of what they believe to be a ghost at a popular Outlander filming location. Earlier this month, Paranormal Scotland visited Culross Abbey in the village and former burgh of Culross in Fife. https://www.edinburghlive.co.uk/news/edinburgh-news/spooky-image-scottish-ghost-snapped-26606250 (Image: Paranormal Scotland) 3

papageorge1 Posted April 4 #5 Share Posted April 4 What would be helpful is another photograph showing what the scene normally looks like, But still, let's do it: Papameter Reading 65% Paranormal 25% Normal 10% Hoax
+Liquid Gardens Posted April 4 #6 Share Posted April 4 Why would a ghost be at a grave marker for another ghost? 1
moonman Posted April 4 #7 Share Posted April 4 (edited) Pretty obvious double exposure of some sort - I don't think the "figure" is even a person - the majority of the "body" is a bluish gravestone in the background, the "leg" is a rock on the ground and the "arm" looks like a tree branch. The "knees" look like a shadow from a round topped gravestone from the pic this one blended with, notice the perfectly straight top to bottom lines of it before the shadow starts. Not to mention the whole transparent headstone part, you can see an angled stone in the same position. Hard to tell if the angled stone or the straight one is in the main photo. Said "paranormal expert team" needs to look at their equipment and/or learn to use it properly. The way the two stones line up perfectly makes me think this was done on purpose, honestly. Almost too perfect for it to be an accident or coincidence. Edited April 4 by moonman
papageorge1 Posted April 4 #8 Share Posted April 4 37 minutes ago, Liquid Gardens said: Why would a ghost be at a grave marker for another ghost? Perhaps not an intelligent haunting but past residual haunting of a long-ago mourner. From the internet: A residual haunting is a replay of a past event or ghost that is not intelligent or aware. It is usually triggered by a traumatic, life-altering, or common occurrence that left a negative energy imprint on a location. It can involve different sensory phenomena like sounds, sights, smells, and others. It may happen at a specific time or place, but not always.

Not sure that subset is that large in comparison to common occurrences, we should be seeing ghosts everywhere.

openozy Posted September 18 #13 Share Posted September 18 Unless they used to work there why would a ghost be seen going about it's business at a cemetery?
Sojo Posted September 18 #14 Share Posted September 18 I think the more interesting part that no one has mentioned is that humongous white & gray cat sitting over toward the right side of the picture!
Antigonos Posted September 19 #15 Share Posted September 19 Sweet christ. Obvious double exposure. Leaving aside the issue of whether or not one believes “ghost photography” is real, double exposure to produce “ghosts” has been a hoax method since the earliest days of photography going back to the mid to late 19th century. It’s amazing that people today still fall for it. If you’re a genuine advocate of psychic phenomena being authentic, you should be the first to call out obvious fakes like this because they damage credibility of the entire field. Just to name two more of the more famous examples, parapsychologist Dr. Stephen Kaplan and psychical researcher Harry Price were relentless in exposing hoaxers for that very reason. Not blindly embracing every hoax that comes along is ok. You’re not betraying your beliefs by doing so.

Ghost hooligan trying to push down a rival fans tombstone? I could see a Celtic/Rangers fan coming back from the dead out of sheer spite to do that. Though a Celtic fan isn’t dumb enough to get caught .

Wepwawet Posted September 26 #18 Share Posted September 26 Yet another example of "ghost" clothes. Whether or not we actaully have a soul, and can be a ghost, is debatable, but clothes most certainly do not have souls and cannot have a ghostly form. If ghosts were real I would think that they would all be naked, but that would cause issues for those making the photo fakes.
