UM-Bot Posted April 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2023 Nearly 30 years later, one of Australia's most compelling alien abduction cases is no closer to being solved. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/366360/mysteries-revisited-the-kelly-cahill-alien-abduction-case
Hawken Posted April 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2023 If you read accounts from others who claim abductions. Their experiences are similar to each other. Seems to be a pattern. 1. Seeing an object in the sky. 2. Lost time 3. Strange short grey beings with large eyes. 4. Taken aboard a craft. 5. Medical procedures performed on them.
Antigonos Posted April 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2023 Exactly. It’s a sociological phenomenon like what constitute reports of ghosts. 4

Reports of puny aliens with large dark eyes took off after the "Close Encounters" movie. Stories of "bedroom abductions" took off in the 1990s after Whitley Strieber's "Communion" book became a best seller and they made a movie on it. For some reason the aliens abducted people almost entirely in the U.S.
psyche101 Posted May 5, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2023 The alleged PRA paper doesn't actually exist. The alleged investigation didn't happen. Her husband, allegedly there, has never publically acknowledged her story as true. Smells bad.

Where's the Wookies & Jabba the Hut types?

I know you weren't asking a serious question but I think it's because those movies are billed as fantasy but movies like Communion and Close Encounters are billed as based on fact. Also the Greys are similar to the "little green men" aliens that were what everyone knew were aliens before them.

The concept of Greys originated in late 19th early 20th Century versions of evolved humans of the future. Aleister Crowley even recorded hallucinations of them. But the humanoid form is such a evolutionary "one off" and doesn't fit a pattern of convergent evolution, I have serious doubts that there is anything shaped like us in are section of the universe.

Do you mean he wrote about what he thought he saw?

Quote He then moved to the studio apartment of Roddie Minor, who became his partner and Scarlet Woman. Through their rituals, which Crowley called "The Amalantrah Workings", he believed that they were contacted by a preternatural entity named Lam. The relationship soon ended. I couldn't find any more adventures he had with Lem. I have to admit that his drawing of Lem is pretty damn cool: 1

And the more popular your books are, the more you will earn. I have read many of his books, and, to be honest and not trying to go off topic, I think his best book was "The Wolfen". He sort of proposed the idea, that stories about 'werewolves' were not based on humans changing into wolves during a full moon, but based on a kind of evolved wolves: wolves with larger brains and paws that were able to grab things. Wolves smart enough to kill only those humans who wouldn't be missed like hobos. 2

It is also the reason I think he was "dabbling" and haunted himself with some "snails" (greys) and other subconscious thoughtforms and exaggerated the experience in Communion.
