So several of those incredible, unbelievable things have been shot down and we've heard nothing about this?

You want to know every time a balloon gets shot down over the ocean or Alaska?

Is it going to fly the whole lenghth of the U.S. or just fly around the area it takes off from.   People take balloon rides all the time.  The "balloons" that are getting shot down are not the same type of balloon, they are weather balloons or high altitude balloons with spy equipment on them, which is why they are getting shot down.   I hope your sister enjoys her flight in the balloon.   If you ever want to see a lot of passenger balloons come to Albuquerque the first weekend of October when we have our balloon fiesta.

Then reveals balloon...not much of an unidentified object really.

edited to fix spelling.....balloon is one of those words that looks wrong even when it is spelled correctly. At least to me....I'll shut up now.

Well, yes :-). but what i meant is that they shot down at least one thing that was cylindrical and we heard nothing about this fabulous alien vehicle with exciting tech on the news.  If they actually managed to shoot down something so advanced they would want the world to know about it to flatter their egos.

Because it was not alien from outer space, maybe foreign spy equipment, and the shape doesn't mean it wasn't a high altitude balloon.

The cylinder one was presumably a pico hobby balloon that went missing after being shot down. Its the two that weren't even described and supposedly not recovered that i want to know about. Why no pictures like with the chinese balloon? They most definitely wouldn't use this to flatter thier egos, as evidenced by roswell and the NSA's investigation of the CIA's stonewalling of it.

Why do you assume that a cylindrical item is extraterrestrial in nature? Whether it was self-propelled or suspended from an apparatus, it's very likely a man-made object.

Classifying items that highly sensitive in regard to national security isn't stonewalling.
