+and-then Posted May 3 Author #2 Share Posted May 3 (edited) https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/israel/defense/1683032219-liveblog-20-rockets-fired-from-gaza-into-israel https://www.jpost.com/ The PIJ leader had already been released twice before, for a hunger strike and apparently was trying again. I was encouraged to see his wife's response, at least, until it was cleaned up from view - she didn't want anyone firing rockets or shedding blood because of his death IF they made no effort to help him while he lived. Edited May 3 by and-then correcting the number of times he had used hunger strikes to be released
bmk1245 Posted May 7 #3 Share Posted May 7 Always wondered why palestinians aren't hunger striking/making rukus in Jordan (which occupies palestinian territories)? 1 Top
+and-then Posted May 9 Author #4 Share Posted May 9 Looks like the IDF wasn't quite finished with the PIJ: https://www.oann.com/newsroom/israel-kills-three-senior-members-of-the-islamic-jihad-terror-group/
+and-then Posted May 9 Author #5 Share Posted May 9 Reports out of the area say 12 dead, 20 wounded and the assumption is that a new round of fighting is coming as the Hamas and PIJ begin their inevitable retaliation. I have to say, I was surprised that Israel's government chose to stir this up again at this time.
+and-then Posted May 11 Author #6 Share Posted May 11 Total rockets fired just under 500. The truce seems to be holding. I wonder if PIJ will be as quick to comply for their Iranian masters, next time?
+and-then Posted May 11 Author #7 Share Posted May 11 (edited) The rockets began anew last night. In response, Israel targeted the commander of rocket forces in Gaza: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/05/11/israel-assassinates-islamic-jihad-commander-ali-ghali-gaza/ Ali and a couple of his pals went BOOM! and have now assumed room temperature. This can end as soon as Iran allows PIJ to stop shooting. If it continues until they get "lucky" and kill several Israelis, this thing could really spiral out of control and that may be the goal of the mullahs. The PM has made it clear that the IDF is ready for a multi-front war of indefinite duration... +and-then Posted May 11 Author #10 Share Posted May 11 https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-742780 One Israeli man killed and two others wounded in Rehovot by falling missile. Imagine the slaughter if all of these were getting through. It would quickly lead to a devastating but decisive war in the region. NONE of the countries would be spared. When Israel is finally forced to take Iran on, that is the kind of regional war to expect.
+and-then Posted May 12 Author #11 Share Posted May 12 Rocket count approaching 900. It will be interesting to see how many more of these PIJ stooges assume room temperature before Iran allows them to beg for calm. Israel is soon going to be forced to deal with the mullahs. Targeted assassinations in Tehran should be on the table.
+and-then Posted May 13 Author #12 Share Posted May 13 After more than 1000 rockets, Israel disengages from any peace talks. It's time for them to go after the real enemy here. Target the Iranian mullahs...
