Coronation viewers have been left baffled after a mysterious cloaked figure appeared to run past the doors at Westminster Abbey. Military personnel were making their way into the ceremony where King Charles III was to be crowned, when the hooded person walked quickly past on-screen, clutching a scythe-shaped object. The appearance was only enhanced by the singing of choristers echoing throughout the historic building.

Social media users joked in their theories that it could be the ‘grim reaper’, while others referenced the late Princess Diana.

Some poor clergyman has to go to the loo during the coronation and everyone is crying conspiracy about a mysterious hooded figure.  Would you prefer the poor fellow crapped his frock FFS?  He was trying to be quick and inobtrusive, and who could blame him?  It's an international event !  A call of nature allows no rest, and IBS is a cruel mistress.
