I often wonder where we would be today if Major Donald Keyhoe was not cut off in 1958 on the CBS Armstrong Circle Star Theater when he was about to disclose sensitive information on what the government really knew about UFOs. He was also the person who was aware the government knew the objects were extraterrestrial flying machines.

Good somebody needs to bring it to light. i have seen two saucers up close and one was fascinatingly technologically complex and one was very clearly man made and didn't even look space-worthy but was hovering nonetheless. The occupants may be getting away with awful experiments on people and need to be met with some accountability. Identifying the culprit would be a monumental start. They are definitely taking advantage of the stigma creating reluctance to report them and likely the disbelief when people do.

 It goes to show you just how far the Air Force and the CIA were willing to go in order to hide they fact they knew those intelligently controlled objects were extraterrestrial. In regard to the 1952 UFO incidents over Washington D. C., the Air Force's explanation for those UFOs was that the objects were the result of temperature inversion. However, pilots, air traffic controllers, and others,  felt the Air Force insulted their intelligence because they knew the Air Force's  temperature inversion explanation was false and in no way explained the objects they witnessed. 

In 1969, the Air Force debunked its own 1952 temperature inversion explanation with this study.

Major Donald Keyhoe Silenced by CBS on Live TV

On January 22, 1958, Keyhoe appeared on a CBS live television show the Armstrong Circle Theatre to speak on the topic of UFOs. Keyhoe charged that a U.S. Congressional committee was evaluating evidence that "will absolutely prove that the UFOs are machines under intelligent control". However CBS stopped the audio portion of the live broadcast. Herbert A. Carlborg, CBS director of editing stated "this program had been carefully cleared for security reasons"

NASA needs to come clean. NASA's public Q & A meeting reminded me when the CIA lost a lawsuit to Ground Saucer Watch (GSW) which revealed the CIA was lying to the public about UFOS. Among the documents released revealed the 1976 Iranian UFO encounter.

C.I.A. PAPERS DETAIL U.F.O. SURVEILLANCE

“After reviewing the documents, Ground Saucer Watch believes that U.F.O.'s do exist, they are real, the U.S. Government has been totally untruthful and the cover‐up is massive,” William Spaulding, head of the group, said a C.I.A. memo of Aug. 1, 1952, recommends continued agency surveillance of “flying saucers,” saying, “It is strongly urged, however, that no indication of C.I.A. interest or concern reach the press or public, in view of their probably alarmist tendencies to accept such interest as ‘confirmatory’ of the soundness of ‘unpublished facts’ in the hands of the U.S. Government,” the document said.

Among the documents are several detailed reports of Air Force attempts to either intercept or destroy U.F.O.'s. In a 1976 incident in Iran, one report says, two F‐4 Phantom jet fighter-bombers pursued a large U.F.O. that,seemed to send out smaller craft. One of the smaller craft “headed straight toward the F‐4 at a very fast rate of speed,”the report said. “The pilot attempted to fire an AIM‐9 missile at the object but at that instant his weapons control panel went off and he lost all communications.” The pilot eluded the craft, then watched as “returned to the primary object for a perfect rejoin,” the report continued.

Who is ridiculing witnesses? What retribution is there? Those are excuse related items from the 1950' and 60's. I can't think of one instance in the last 30 years where someone has come forward about a story of aliens or UFOs and they were ridiculed or lost their job (for example). If the intent is to silence people that tactic has clearly been failing hard since the 70's.

If i may ask, where's the attached copy of Keyhoe's signed statement? Have you seen it or read it?

Edited for "security reasons" , sounds a lot like the gentlemen was about to divulge details of secret US programs and was edited to prevent it from being broadcast.  You know, proper and responsible handling of sensitive information. It was the height of the Cold War and the U2 had only been in service for a few years. That along with other craft under development and testing of course needed to be kept a secret from prying Russian eyes. It's not really that difficult to understand.

More speculation based off of one man's assumptions and stories form over 60 years ago.
