Many explanations still must be considered and investigated along with the "alien signal" hypothesis.

The center of the Milky Way is too violent for advanced life. Galaxies have habital zones too and anything more advanced then us would be further out. Not in.

That's hard because we are on the furthest end of the furthest spiral arm of the galaxy.   is there anything further out without going to the next galaxy?

We are in the middle on a smaller spiral arm.

Huh, when I look at the "we are here" maps it shows our sun near the end of the furthest spiral arm.    Where can I find an accurate map?

Google it. We are in the Local Arm right below the Perseus Arm.

The Quora thingy isn't accurate.

you say this as if it's true...they may be so advanced/ technically far beyond anything we can imagine that they adapted to this violent environment years ago-- you've no idea what's out there, i don't that's for sure ;)

Possibly they can adapt better if they are very advanced but how would such an advanced civilization develop in the first place in a violent place with frequent events, such as radiation bursts and asteroids, that are lethal to life.
