This is like a throwback from the cold war days.  Cuba is receiving billions for this, I wonder if Joe will be getting anything?

China has reached a secret deal with Cuba to establish an electronic eavesdropping facility on the island roughly 100 miles (160 km) from Florida, the Wall Street Journal said on Thursday, but the White House cast some doubt on the report.

Such a spy installation would allow Beijing to gather electronic communications from the southeastern U.S., which houses many U.S. military bases, as well as monitor ship traffic, the newspaper reported, citing U.S. officials familiar with classified intelligence.

The U.S. Central Command headquarters is based in Tampa. Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, the largest U.S. military base, is based in North Carolina.

The countries have reached an agreement in principle, the officials said, with China to pay Cuba "several billion dollars" to allow the eavesdropping station, according to the Journal.

<------Sounds exactly like what Russia was saying about American/NATO encroachment in Ukraine leading up to the SMO.

Could be a move to expose the hypocrisy of Ukraine....   kind of like sending illegals to liberal cities.  Force us to confront our own policies....

Could be a strategic move by the Chinese  and maybe a good one to balance US presence around Taiwan.    Hypocrisy of Ukraine, when China is threatening invasion of Taiwan?  Doubt it.  It is a strength play not a social statement.  China is delighted by our divisions and does what they can to encourage them.

Wouldn't a $200,000.00 membership to Mar a Lago be a much more cost effective way to get US intel?

The big guy works cheaper.  And, he's apparently untouchable, even when direct evidence exists that he's corrupt.

Who knew a guy that everyone says is a bumbling incompetent could be such an untouchable criminal mastermind?

That's another thing I have to give the Democrats.  They don't line up to stab Biden in the back like the Republicans are doing to that other guy.  Heck, Biden is such a uniter that Republicans are even shielding him by not indicting.  They spend decades investigating and then no indictments.
