Prigozhin was a visionary in many ways and it was a happy day for Ukraine and a sad one for Russia when Putin sided with his generals and not with his friend over internal politics.

Prigozhin’s death signalled the collapse of Russia’s offensive attack and more importantly practical solution to Russia’s top heavy military brass that just couldn’t get modern.

Prigozhin left a legacy in his march towards Moscow. He showed what Russia basically is, a city state and empire. Capture the city and you own Russia the empire.

What we see now is Ukraine threatening Moscow and the inability for Russia to win this war with ingenuity and technology, instead they need brute strength strategy.

Prigozhin should have been made the general of all Russia but his ambitions were too much for even Putin. Luckily for Ukraine Prigozhin was as gullible as he was brilliant.

I guess it’s the rise and fall of the conman restauranteur that makes this period of history that much more interesting

Russians face tough choices in defending Kursk amid Ukrainian push

"It appears that the Russian military command relies on existing units deployed in the border zone and readily available forces in the rear, most of which are units manned by conscripts and irregular formations to counter the situation in the Kursk Oblast," the Institute for the Study of War reported.

"The Russian military command might transfer more experienced and better-equipped frontline units from eastern or southern Ukraine to the Kursk Oblast, but it will likely take a considerable amount of time for such units to reach the Kursk Oblast," the ISW reported.

With the Ukrainian attack on Kursk it seems Belarus has seen how easy a coup via invasion is and has mobilised all its troops and sent them to the border with Ukraine.

Without any war time experience Belarus units will get eaten up by even Ukraine reserves and FPV drones if they so much as attempt any attack.

Ukrainian Forces Capture Valuable Russian T-72B3 Tanks

This unexpected advance has forced Russian forces to rapidly assemble units using available resources from the region.

This hasty reorganization has led to a series of inefficiencies, including the abandonment of valuable military equipment. Among the casualties of this chaotic situation are the modern Russian T-72B3 tanks, which have been left behind by retreating forces.

One particularly notable find is an abandoned T-72B3 tank near the town of Sudzha. This model, equipped with advanced thermal imaging cameras, represents a significant loss for the Russian military.

Ukraine launches 'massive' first of its kind drone strike on Russia

Ukraine launched a "massive" drone attack on the Lipetsk region of Russia according to its governor.

Sharing details of the alleged offensive Igor Artamonov wrote on Telegram on Friday detailing the strike claiming that at least nine people were wounded in the attack, which damaged energy infrastructure and led to the temporary evacuation of residents in several areas.

The incident was the first of its kind from Ukraine and has put Moscow under pressure in a region which has remained largely unaffected in the two years since the war began.

Kursk breakthrough lays groundwork for negotiations with Putin's successor - Bundestag Committee head

Markus Faber, head of the Bundestag Defense Committee stated that the Kursk operation lays the groundwork for negotiations with the successor to the current Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Faber noted that the operation against Russian forces near Kursk is going better than expected.

"The progress shows the Russian population that their dictator is losing control and that the military leadership is overwhelmed. A good foundation for peace negotiations with Putin's successor. And negotiations with Putin before the International Criminal Court," wrote the head of the Defense Committee.

He pointed out that the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces caused the aggressor to withdraw its troops from the front in eastern Ukraine, reducing pressure on Ukrainian troops in that region.

KHORNE group within the 116th mechanized brigade, engaged in the operations in the Kursk region, released footage from the Kursk region.

"Some video from the massacre site and documents from there. We hope that it will make Russians think about life. We can see from their thick and distant faces that these are not young conscripts. Conscripts surrender and are happy to be alive.''

Auto translation:

The Cheka-OGPU reports numerous cases of looting in the Kursk region:

💬"The desertion of villages and towns has become a catalyst for rampant looting.

"Shops are being robbed, there is a collapse in Korenevo, "Magnet" was simply destroyed. No water, no gas, no electricity. There was no organized evacuation, and if there was, why didn't we hear anything about it in Lobanovka [Korenevsky district]?", a local resident writes.

A similar situation is in other border municipalities. Kursk residents are sure that the administration representatives, leaving people to their fate, themselves provoked the collapse in the border areas."

The looting is also confirmed by Z-war correspondents, on Friday Isabella Liberman reported on the situation in Lgov:

💬"We met with the local residents of Lgov and the information we received was not very pleasant: looting is flourishing here.

They greeted us, to be honest, with this stick. They asked us to show our documents. We showed them, naturally, but the remaining people are forced to guard their own homes."

BTW Ukrainian army is still far away from Lgov, but looting was spotted even there… it is time to loot Kremlin…than… Russians, don’t stop

️The battle is about 40 km from the border. And this is only what the Kokoshenkovs officially (!) recognize.

By the way, the Russians will hold an Orthodox religious procession against the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine." Belousov (rus defence minister) will personally hand over the shrine, over which Patriarch Kirill prayed, - rosZMI.

It looks reliable😁

Russian source Rybar confirms that the AFU has presence inside Plekhovo, and was seen in the vicinity of Borki and Spal'noe just east of it. The latter could mean AFU is scaling up activity from the border area south of it as well. Ukrainian DRG groups were noted near Belaya Sloboda further east.
