+OverSword Posted July 10 #1 Share Posted July 10 Quote Rikkie Valerie Kollé has been named Miss Netherlands 2023, becoming the first transgender woman to take the title, according to multiple outlets. After winning the pageant on Saturday, Kollé will advance to represent her Dutch homeland at the Miss Universe pageant, set to take place in El Salvador later this year. The 22-year-old was crowned with a tiara by her predecessor, Ona Moody, onstage at the AFAS Theater in Leusden. "I DID IT !!!!!" the model said in a post on Instagram. "Yes I'm trans and I want to share my story but I'm also Rikkie and that's what matters to me," Kollé wrote. "And wherever you are in the world, I want to be there for you and be the example that I missed as a little me." Link 3

If she played her cards right she would be in luck, don't get me wrong, I would have to make some checks first, the kind of checks you had to do in Thailand and Brazil, sadly we have to do them everywhere now, with all the box ticking crap.

A surgery for that is now a part of the complete package. Not in my comfort zone, but it is no longer revolutionary surgery. Just as a thought experiment, compare this person with Kim Kardashian: enhanced butt, enhanced breasts, facial improvement surgeries, and both she and her sister are choosing surrogacy to have their next babies. No more pain and stretch marks I guess. The lines are getting blurry.

I once met a young girl who had had a total pelvic exenteration due to a high risk of cancer (removal of everything in the pelvis). Very, very sad. She was still a girl. 1

Is there some hint in there that being a girl is more than pelvic equipment?

I'm getting too old for this bs. I feel exactly the same. The part of this trend that bothers me most is the assumption by the "enlightened" class that push these changes, that if I disagree or find them off-putting in any way, then I am being hate-filled. It simply isn't true. In this particular instance I'm simply unable to reset my belief system to accept that the most basic of all biological realities of humankind, can be subject to the whim of emotion or fashion. Being unable to lie and go along with this ideology is NOT hate. I would never actively try to harm a trans person, not even to the point of insulting them intentionally. 7

I think I am even older than you. I have no intention of changing my sex or any of my affiliations or characteristics. I have no doubt who I am and who I continue to be. That being said, I don't care what other people do to themselves. If they are confused or have some physical or emotional issues, I can feel empathy for them, but it doesn't change my view. They can be who they want to be, even if I consider it an unlikely fantasy. If somebody cuts my hair, serves my food, or fixes my computer, I don't care what sex they are or race, as long as they can do the job. I didn't like or have piercings or tattoos either or never wore my baseball cap backwards, I am not going to fight, ridicule, or shun anybody who does. I don't know what is going on at the forefront of medicine, but I suspect gender surgery will get more complete. Even Sci Fi authors like Heinlein speculated about changing bodies and sexes. 20+ year ago. If our descendants are brave, intelligent , kind, and ethical, their gender decisions are secondary. Humans can work through this without hating each other. If we ever do meet aliens, they may not know, may not care, or may have multiple sexes we don't.

I did not know they even had beauty pageants still. My daughter's best friend was in them when she was a child. My daughter was invited to be in them as well and I politely said no. I wanted her to grow up knowing that true beauty lies within, not an outward appearance. 5

The kiddie beauty pageants where they try to make 6 year old kids look like sexy 20 year old adults are some of the worst public displays of grooming I know of. 3
