Biden $10M bribe file released: Burisma chief said he was ‘coerced’ to pay Joe, ‘stupid’ Hunter

WASHINGTON — A bombshell FBI informant file describing a $10 million bribery allegation against President Biden and his son Hunter was released Thursday by Sen. Chuck Grassley, showing that a Ukrainian oligarch claimed that he was “coerced” into making the payoff.

Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of natural gas company Burisma Holdings, told the FBI informant in 2016 while meeting at a coffee shop in Vienna, Austria, that “it cost 5 [million] to pay one Biden, and 5 [million] to another Biden,” according to the redacted FD-1023 form.

“Zlochevsky made some comment that although Hunter Biden ‘was stupid, and his (Zlochevsky’s) dog was smarter,’ Zlochevsky needed to keep Hunter Biden (on Burisma’s board) ‘so everything will be okay,’” the June 2020 document says. 

The source asked whether Hunter Biden or Joe Biden told Zlochevsky he should “retain” the younger Biden; Zlochevsky allegedly replied, “They both did.”

I thought this was a bit bizarre too,  Wray and Weiss are both Trump appointees, whereas at least one of the whistleblowers is a Democrat.  It's like there is a grand conspiracy to show that Trump's choices are corrupt or incompetent and the only honest ones are Democrats.

I wonder how long the FBI has had this testimonial? Seems like a Ukrainian would try to avoid ticking Biden off while he is such a vocal supporter of theirs during Russias invasion.

Do you count whistle blower testimony and witnesses?  That seemed to be enough to impeach trump when he was trying to get this very thing looked into by the Ukrainian government.

As you know, testimony is a type of evidence and often sufficient in court to achieve a conviction.  So what you mean is you want to see physical or documented proof, right?  That's where I'm at too.  I have little doubt that proof is out there.

In Trump's case, we had a phone call overheard by some embassy employees.  Those employees could be called upon for a deposition and, if necessary, could be cross-examined.  How do you cross-examine a rumor?  We would need to bring that whistleblower in for questioning under oath.  Such things as cancelled checks - where are the two cancelled checks showing that Biden received money from an oligarch?  So far, all there is is unsubstantiated rumors, but no evidence.

Suspecting that the evidence is out there is not presenting the evidence.  Until I see it, it doesn't exist.

Trump's a billionaire- unless he's lying about that, too.  If he thought an investigation would turn up something, he'd have hired it done.

Follow the money is often a good track to follow. Forensic accountants are pretty good at that I think. Was money paid out, how was it transferred, where did it wind up. Who was involved in the transfer?   That might be a good place to start.

Then there is the issue of did Joe Biden change or attempt to change US policy toward a nation as a result of personal gain.  Changes in policy should be easy to track.

Hunter Biden giving money to relatives, up to about $11 million is a legal tax avoidance method that millionaires can take advantage of legally without fraud.  Even Chuck Grassley was strongly in favor of raising this inheritance tax limit because as he said many family farms in his state are worth more than the old limit.  So it is not the money itself, it is where did it come from?

If you read the article then you would know the testimony said he was "forced" to pay $10m into several different bank accounts.  If you really believe that it was coincidence that Biden threatened to withhold foreign aid unless the prosecutor investigating Burisma, where Hunter sat on the board for some bizarre reason, was fired then I own a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you. We have Biden bragging about that at the time on record.

Financial instruments are needed to transfer money.  Maybe it wasn't two checks - could have been many.  At any rate, there's a paper trail.  Find it and show it.

I doubt that what the whistleblower said could be called "testimony" at this point.  It needs to be verified by further investigation.  So where are the depositions?  Where are the cross-examination logs?
